When you play drop coverage on defense and the team starts to get comfortable shooting wide open3s its gonna be a long night. Thibs waits too long to make adjustments.
We barely ran pick and roll with Brunson and Towns. Our switch defense was horrendous!

If you had to show up as a coach in one game in the regular season, it was this game. Knick’s need a new head coach. Tom is out of his depth. Boston didn’t do anything new. Tom was unable to adapt thus the team was not prepared. Multiple Knicks in the post with multiple open offense players. You can’t switch on Boston! Tatum and Brown with double digit open looks because 4 Knicks are in the paint. That’s philosophy. Jalen slowing down the offense with multiple ISO’s with no cutting or movement from perimeter players, that’s philosophy. Celtics swing and shoot, they’ve done it for years. Lineups and rotations were bad. Sims should not be playing over Porti and Deuce should be with starters. This coach can’t get to a chip if he can’t scheme against Boston. Time for a change, game one tells you everything you need to know. Don’t need 81 other games when we all had the same information going into this season. Embarrassing. If Tom continues to coach this team, unfortunately , it will be a waste of money, time and assets. Enjoy beating up on teams not named Boston.

Deuce needs to be in the starting line up! OG and Mikal Bridges have to step up their game. Knicks were playing extremely well back in January with Julius Randle and Donte. Their chemistry as a team was excellent!
I just saw the box score, the Celtics was 29-61 at 47.5% in 3's, they took 61 3's WOW. If they shoot the 3 ball like that this season no one is beating the Celtics but to me that's not sustainable over an 82 game season and the Knicks will be fine it's just game 1.

It hurts me to say but anyone who watches basketball critically knows the Knicks traded away their edge , grit, and identity. And this will cost us our chip the team was absolutely fine with just the addition of bridges … the KAT trade a 6’11 guy who plays like he’s 6’5 will cost us 🤦🏾♂️ Randle is a better overall player then he is at this point in their careers the team was deep gritty and can hurt you inside/out .
