  1. Wemby questions in french
1: reporter: Did the situation of the alarm being pulled last night affect your sleep and your game at all ?

Wemby: it certainly woke me up, but well.. it’s the nba we’ve had worse sleep schedules, sometimes we’ll check into a hotel at 2 am, but it definitely took me a while to sleep afterwards

2: what have you noticed between year 1 and 2 so far, last year you losses a lot but this season their seems to be an emphasis on winning, can you give your opinion on how the team is acting differently this year compared to last

Wemby: I would say that from what we’ve seen in training camp until now is that we’ve been using our advantages more often like our physicality and defense you can see this in our defense. we are much more informed of what our job on the court is and are more certain of play, but we have not overcome our demons on the court their is still work to do, not that this mean we are worried but we don’t want to waste time.

3: are you disappointed in this first match, did you expect more from yourself ect:

Wemby: I think for about 80% of the game we played how we wanted to, there was good energy throughout the match, then there was the period where they went on a run and killed us and it was 100% our fault we caused it

4: did you miss the competition of the nba, playing matches often, going head to head with players.

Wemby: ofcourse i missed it, yeah im really excited to go home and play in front of the san antonio crowd, that will be special, and im happy to be living my dream and im lucky to be here, we’re all happy..

  2. He was very strong defensively, did a lot of things that won't show up on the stat sheet. But as good as he was defensively, he was even worse offensively. I hope there's only up to go from here.

  3. Don’t just blame him, blame the old man too! Wemby said he wanted to play in the preseason, Pop knows his a slow starter so he needed those reps. Instead he held him out and then turns around and say his rusty.

  4. Wemby, for the love of God, stop overcomplicating your game. We get it that you have a lot to offer but just stick to the basics. Just pick a move that would be effective in every situation, and don't overcomplicate yourself.

  5. Vic should always start his game with easy points in the paint then he can do whatever he wants. He could really be a lethal mid range shooter like KD, the threes can be taken later in the game, especially if it doesn’t go in like tonight.

  6. We just played a serious playoff team. Let's not pretend that we won't crush tons of other teams from now on

  7. He needs a New coach, a coach that will grow older with him, pop needs to go, his best day's are behind him, and take Chris Paul with him.

  8. Wemby will undoubtedly need to gain more weight and strength and aggressively attack his opponents in the low post to reach his fullest potential as a Center in the NBA. The sooner he develops the hook shot, the sooner he will have an unguardable weapon at his disposal.

However, the League and the refs need to watch how players defend Wemby. Dallas was afforded too many opportunities to push him in the waist and hit his hands and arms while he tries to shoot or pass the ball…GO SPURS GO!!!!

  9. He needs to stop shootin first intention and early possession 3's early in the game ! I understand the confidence but that's the type of shot you're supposed to take when you're hot. Bro is taking "heat check shots" to start the game, thats not how you make yourself comfortable. Even Steph and Dame barely take these type of shots early in a game. He needs to go get some easy buckets first and more midrange, it's almost like he forgot how unguardable he is from midrange with his size. He barely shoots from that distance.

  10. Once he gets his rhythm back, he’ll be fine. What concerns me more is the amount of turnovers of the team. I checked the stats at half-time and I think they already committed 16 TOs. They did better after half-time, they only had one. But still, 17 TOs compared to the Mavs only having 7 TOs the whole game, it’s gonna kill them. I think the players can learn a lot from this game especially since the Mavs is a tough team, being the reigning WCF champs. I’m actually hopeful for the Spurs’ FG% and 3P%. Mavs just performed better in the 3P-shooting. They shot like 45% while the Spurs shot 35%, again not bad but could be better. Also, the 3rd quarter collapse. It happened again in this game. That was a constant last season. Hopefully, this would be addressed as well as the season goes along. Barnes, Champagnie, and Sochan all did great. CP3 and Wemby still needs to get their rhythm. Castle did great as well for his debut.

  11. He wants to play pretty, I think he'll be great once he matures but it will take 4-5 years and not overnight like most think. Durant had way better "PERIMETER" skill than him in his second season. Trying to force a round peg into a triangle cut out.

  12. Poor night for him. Look at tape, learn. Has to try to play through the team more to get a rhythm before going iso to shoot. Try to get some off ball looks. Get to the freethrow line. Get a rhythm before shooting so many shots

  13. Pop don’t stop double teaming and that leaves players open for 3s 🤦🏽‍♂️
He continues to do this dumb method

  14. Way to over hype…..I been saying it from day one his not what the media is saying….his just a regular good nba player his nothing special….he is not what you think he is
