I was wondering why the comments section sounded so wildly uninformed and weird and then I saw what account posted it
"Chet the Threat" Holmgren is no joke.
Tried to tell people all that shamgod and step back three shit for a 7β5 player makes no sense. Heβll never reach his potential playing like a 2k player.
Yah yah, you'll have one of those bad games, but it's still hard to imagine Wemby scoring 6 points the entire game.
im gonna be honest, i think wemby is still gonna be a great player but i dont think he is gonna reach the MJ, Kobe, Bron level if greatness.
I love Wemby but he really need to start playing in the paint to leverage his size advantage. Damn Im getting too old for Modern basketball. I miss 90's game so much. today game is litterally only about shooting 3's.
Holmgren has outplayed Wembanyama for the season so far. Easily.
Wemby can't play bully ball, he gets EASILY pushed around by tough defenders half his size. A big who tries to avoid phyiscal contact won't be dominant. Well I understand, he wants to play more like KD offensively but he has to be honest with himself, he ain't no KD. Definitely shifty and flashy for his size and yes he can shoot threes it's not enough to be a consistent offensive threat.
even yuki would clamp down wemby to 6 pts
I'm sorry but Wembanyama was only held to 6 points by garbage coach Popovich and his godawful teammates who have no clue how to get him the ball.
Bro 5 shot and done. Chill out π
Chet has being owning Wemby since young
They tell me this kid is the best thing since sliced bread. I donβt see it.
Those churros and big ole' women in San Antonio are getting to Wemby π
All the years he only play against smaller players when finally face same height as he he failed.
Alright everyone letβs overreact and call wemby a bust
Trash coach
They're tanking again. So who cares.π
Wemby sorry and soft and everyone needs to admit it ππππ SMH
He only shot 5 shots lol Spurs held Victor to 6 points not OKC or Chet π
6 pointsπ. Bron has gone 1200 plus straight games with double figures
Chet is out for vengeance π
Wambamyama is overrated. Heβs closer to Porzingus than the big stars of the league.
πππ
Tim Duncan was so different when he was a rookie in San antonio compare to wemby.
some people were predicting MVP this season LOL
I've disliked Wemby since he entered the NBA. It's not about his skill as a Basketball player but you saw two dope rookies together and Wemby even with him being better than Chet in their first seasons seemed like such an asshole to Chet and kind of obsessed. Even here, Chet walks up to him to fist bump and Wemby doesn't even look at him. He looks at his fist, bumps it and ignores him.
If you look at every Spurs vs OKC game last year, all Wemby cared about was outperforming Chet.
I just get bad vibes from this guy and to me that's weird for a rookie.
I hope they turn into amazing rivals but rivals still respect each other. It seems he has absolutely zero respect.
Watched the entire game. Super frustrating. I'd say about 70% of this was Wemby's fault. It was really hard to watch a guy like him stand on the perimeter when he had a 6'5" player guarding him. On top of that, his teammates didn't do him any favours either. No Pick & Rolls with CP3, no DHO's.
He was constantly trying to take his man off the dribble starting 25 feet from the basket.
Hardly posted up, and go thoroughly outplayed by Chet. I hope this game is a wake up call for him. He needs to stop playing like a Shooting Guard, learn a fucking jump hook, set proper picks, and move much better off ball.
