It’s gonna be a long season lmao
Players who looked alright:
Kai Jones
Jalen McDaniels
Bryce McGowen
LaMelo Ball
Dennis Smith Jr(I guess)
Terry Rozier (kinda)
Kelly Oubre(I guess)
Players who looked bad:
Everyone else
High points: McDaniels looks GOOD. Kai looked good at the end in garbage time. DSJ appears to be our answer for backup PG to run the second unit. We looked more engaged defensively in the first half before the wheels came off.
Low points: Basically everything else. Our center rotation has got to be the worst in the league. I know we all don’t want Mason as the starter, but he’s the only one that looked competent today. Richards looks lost and Williams doesn’t have the physicality for the NBA game yet. Bouk looked bad for most of his time on the court. Feel like he’s pressing too much to impress the coaches after how bad last year under JB was for him.
Expecting some crazy leap from PJ lmao
“With the first pick in the 2023 NBA draft, the Charlotte Hornets select…”
Back again with the live by the three offense game plan
ok guys, fill me in; how bad was my man bouk
Biggest takeaway for me, our shot quality has dropped dramatically from last season. Just one game but it looked pretty bad and got significantly worse without LaMelo on the floor. DSJ should definitely be in the rotation. No way we are letting Terry run the 2nd unit again right?
We lost to the Mavericks by like 50 last year. Preseason don’t mean shit.
Here’s my thoughts after the game:
– Hayward instead of oubre in that starting line up may be a big difference maker, especially with hornets slowing down pace a bit
– We looked a lot more solid on the defensive end (with our main rotation pieces. Missing Cody here) Noticeable improvements from oubre, but Terry looked a bit lackluster imo
– Rusty offensive shooting overall, I expect that to pick up as the season picks up steam
– Our young guys just look super unpolished. Was hoping for bouknight to take another step, but he along with Nick Richards and
What’s you guys thoughts?
