The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a Western conference Finals loss but really had a great season. Mavericks had a solid offseason signing McGee and Christian Wood. Will The Mavericks Be Contenders? they do have Luka Doncic!

Mavs are a wildcard team and can be a spoiler for any contending team. I wouldn't be surprised by them if they make it to the Finals or get bounced in the first round.
Not enough fire power on the Mavs. Luca turns the ball over too much.
I'm not as high on The Mavs as others.
I do like the effect J Kidd is having on Luka and The Mavs overall, but that pace of play requires excellent half court basketball and i just don't see it.
For a 7 game series, The Mavs pace of play works, but for an 82 game regular season where everyone, including the bad teams are running and gunning?
I'm not so sure.
They don't seem like a 60 win type team to me, so we are talking somewhere between a 45-55 win type team, in my view.
I also believe with The Clippers, Nuggets, Pelican, and Lakers all getting their stars back on the floor, some of the top western conference teams will come down a bit, wins wise.
Plus The Blazers are getting Dame back and have added Jerami Grant, so they will win more then they did last season and i am expecting The Kings to win more games then they did last season.
Right now i see the west as:
#1) Warriors
#2) Clippers
#3) Grizzlies
#4) Lakers
#5) Nuggets
#6) Mavericks
T Wolves, Suns, Pelicans, Kings, and Blazers will fight it out for the play in spots and of this group, it's The T Wolves, not The Pelicans that i see as possibly being undervalued in my analysis. I am also not that high on The Pelicans. I also agree that The Suns are likely to implode.
