One of the only ones that looked like they knew what they were doing out there the ball was in and out of his hands and tons of off ball movement

Nah let him go get reps in the g league. What’s the point of having him sit on the bench.

Once the regular season starts, practice and “garbage time” are not enough for a player to stay sharp and continue to develop. We should be using the G League for ALL of our young players, not as some kind of punishment, but in order to maximize their pace of development.

Assuming we keep 14 +2xTWC, we’re going to have 16 players, only 9 of whom are proven rotation-ready for the NBA (starters + Poole, Iggy, DiVo, and J-Mike), leaving 7 to share limited minutes, Except for Poole, the other veteran reserves don’t need major minutes, but even they need to play to stay sharp, and the two newcomers need to get comfortable in the Dubs’ system if they are going to be there for us when we do need them. And of course we also need to WIN, and there’s a fine line between risking losses on the one hand and limiting developing players to garbage time on the other.

Therefore, IMO, generally 3-4 of our developing players should be in the G League at any given moment, with all of them rotating up to the NBA club and back on a regular basis. If any of them PROVE that they are ready for prime time, that’s great, but them entering the regular rotation means even FEWER minutes for the rest.

Idk what y’all will do with him, but what I do know is that it’s always a good idea to trust the warriors with whatever development plan they got. They obviously got it figured out lol

It’s an odd one because I feel like the g league will do him good but he also seems like such a smart player that Kerr will love him and want him to get minutes.

I really want the small ball center shit to die. He’s a big wing. He’s not a center.

G league probably makes the most sense this year. But damn, it’s really hard to not get super excited about both the vet core and the youngsters.
