Charlotte needs to tank this upcoming season. Its legit the perfect circumstance too with the Bridges situation

Watch the media (including Woz) speak this into existence.

The NBA has to import a system where once you’re eliminated from the playoffs … losses count as wins, and wins count as losses

Would make games really fun down the stretch

  12. we are getting a couple teams going over 60 wins for sure. anyone playing the rockets okc utah spurs 4 times is getting a free 16 wins. dallas might be top 3. luka getting that mvp

With the flattened odds, I just don’t see it. If you are one of the bottom three or even five your odds are very similar to wind up with a top 2 pick.

As a European seeing 6-8 teams competing to finish last and get a better draft pick is actually so strange. Why do fans of those teams just accept that there gonna be awful for a season on purpose. Surely no point attending matches if you know your team wants to lose?

  15. We are going to get some inflated win totals

Love that quote from his agent, really hoping prospects dont follow the Sharpe route. Wemby’s got nothing but passion for the game.

A lot of teams arent really set up to tank though..

Pacers, Hornets, Wizards, Magic, Pistons in the east. Spurs, Jazz, Thunder, Rockets in the west?

Magic, Pistons, and Rockets wont really be tanking much as they are just young teams that will lose lots of games, with the flattened odds at the top, these teams wont really have a reason to tank unless you think they can lose more than the true tanking teams. The wizards and hornets should tank, but its hard to say with their current talent levels/front offices. So that leaves the jazz, pacers, spurs, thunder as the actual teams most likely to tank?

Teams will start sending just 4 guys on the floor and hope the refs won’t notice.

Watch a play in team win the lottery like the Pelicans did in 2019 lol

Spurs please trade us Poeltl, you know you want to be as bad as possible

  21. It’s understandable why, but there is going to be a lot of heartbreak for the majority of teams that tank and don’t secure a top 2 much less top 5 pick.

It’s not fun to watch your team tank an entire year’s worth of games on purpose and it’s even worse if they barely get anything to show for it.

Best case scenario for my team is that the Rockets develop our young guys but just naturally suck enough to lose semi-competitive games for at least the first 3/4 of the season. In the last 15 games or so if we are within striking distance of one of those coveted 14% lottery slots, then fuck it go for broke.

Whoever comes third in the lottery will be weeping tears of blood.
