The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 123-113. Dejounte Murray recorded a game-high 25 PTS (9-13 FG), along with 8 REB and 9 AST for the Hawks, while Trae Young added 22 PTS and 3 AST in the victory. Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 19 PTS, 7 REB and 2 AST for the Bucks.

    I'll admit that during the offseason, I was a little skeptical of the Dejounte Murray trade. But now, looking at this game, I believe Murray and Young are going to play very well together.

    If you go look at the stat lines for the team as a whole…you will understand already the value Murray is bringing to the team.

    The Hawks shot 31% from three and still had no issues scoring at all..and I mean they paced the game from the start and couldbt hit a 3 to save there life.

    Was shooting 60% from the field for most of the game and finishes at 54% for the game.

    Got out rebounded 52 to 39 and it didnt make a difference.

    Went to the FT line 28 times!!!

    Had 44 pts in the paint.

    Those are just stat wise the effect Murray is having on this team.

    The other thing that the Bucks noticed real early and real quickly on Defense was. Murray grabbing the rebound and pushing the break was a real problem not simply because he was pushing the pace.. NoSir….it was because Trae Young was running the floor and on the recieving end of fast break passes and Trae Young in the open Court ahead of the Defense doing ICE TRAE things with the Defense not set is a damn Nightmare.

    Ice Trae behind the Defense isnt something teams gave much thought too…..Or Trae Young coming off a pin down or in the Corner waiting for a kickout while Murray and Collins run pick and roll…isnt something teams where prepared for.

    And Trae sitting on the Bench and watching Murray go off on Back-up point guards…like i said Nightmare!!! And the look on Coach Budd and Giannis faces said as much

    Good game from the Hawks.
    Been saying this since they traded for DM5.
    True championship teams are good teams if you take off their best player.
    If you subtract Trae from this Hawks team they still a be a tough team to beat.
    So with Trae this team is a contender.
    You don’t have the best offense in the league and add a triple double with a automatic mid range and not be a contender.
    Synopsis Trae played a bad game and the Hawks were in cruise control even while the Bucks rotation players played well over their heads.
    Hawks shot bad from three, but they did what the Hawks do not turn the ball over…
    DM5 and Hunter locked up Holiday he couldn’t do anything.
    Hunter healthy head about to take that next step in his development, he’s getting to his spots and taking his shots& hitting them.
    Analysis Hawks are gonna be a big problem if healthy, not saying that gonna win a chip but they’ll be a top three team in east their too deep, with a good blend of defense, wings, pg play, youth, size,& offense.
    The number two offense got significantly better
