Hey there Aidan🙂I liked the game. Good flow and chemistry. Pretty much a 180 degree turn from the first game. Nice reporting on Terry. Guy has huge upside.
The bench is about energy and unpredictability. Starters are about consistent dominance and ability. We have a great bench. It's about how we use them. I agree that Marko has got to demand the ball because he needs to start showing what he can do on offense. Marko needs to take the garbage time and put on a show. Just DO NOT FOUL and DO NOT GET DUNKED ON. He needs to go to his strengths on offense and play some defense and he will likely get subbed in over Bradley and from there he needs to get time with other players and learn how to play with them. I think Coby will continue where he left off and I think Patrick should NOT start and needs to be a spark plug off the bench. He had one play where an alley oop was tossed his way and he kinda flubbed it and did not dunk. He needs to dunk, make a mean face and be ready to be a beast. He needs to learn how Javonte went from the bench to starting…
obv we can't celebrate too much, but it was a fun game to watch mostly because the coaching staff was willing to mix up lineups and that will be the key to our success this season. and then imagine when we get Lonzo back… he'll get the rest he needs. did you see when that second unit came in and the starters rested for 10 minutes and the lead was extended?? that's BIG. Even tho it's preseason, it was a great game to see. Alex did great, but Ayo should start. ppl need to stop seeing the bench as the weaker players. It's not. We can only play 5 at a time and the bench is there to ruin the other team because they cannot rest much if the bench is basically starter level players and we have that. Did you see Freeman Liberty and the others? Imagine if we still had Justin Lewis??? AKME have set us up good. It's just who will show up and who will get cut. That's what this season is about. It's essentially tryouts for a team headed to the Finals
The ball movement was nice & the most impressive thing was the 3 point shooting hopefully we can do that more consistently this season
I'm not going to overly talk about Dalen Terry, but I hope he continues on the road he's on. He's showing us a lot to like and he's made a difference when he's played. He's provided things we need. I'm really liking what I'm seeing from DT and think if he gets in the next game earlier than he has, I see that as an upgrade and that's a big deal when the coaches decide to give you more responsibility.
