  1. Didn't deserve it. Didn't improve the situation. Deconstruction of the championship team was nonsensible. Bad signings. If he worked at a business firm, his a$$ would be fired.

  2. This year is going to be a replay of next year, just new faces, the same hopeful start slowly fading away after every game played, what’s Darvin Ham going to do different than Vogel? At least Frank had an identity, defense first, what’s Darvin Ham’s identity?
I’m tall so I can keep players in check?

Unless they grow a couple gonads and give up those two picks, get westbrook out, add Buddy and Turner , sign a couple wings, maybe look out for some good buyout guys
And honestly the 2020 chip was more Lebron and AD just pulling the troops together and the majority of role players were Lebron’s guys except maybe Rondo and Caruso

  3. This franchise is so messy. What will happen if the season is a complete fail which has a large probability to occur? Nothing . Pelinka can continue as long as he wants to be one of the worst GM in the nba. Don't expect any major trade to take place in the next two years.

  4. I feel like Vogel was the scapegoat almost. But he also couldn't figure out rotations very well. Covid made an appearance a few times. Injuries to a few players. The Blame doesn't just fall on Vogel or Pelinka in my mind. Obviously Hindsight is 20/20, but I don't like the Westbrook trade, or forming a Team that "Old" last season. They are going in the right direction i think this season. Got younger and also getting depth at Westbrook's position, as they should because Russ should be on the bench with the 2nd unit, IMO. Injuries will hopefully not put a Road block on the way to success this year! I Hope and pray. They only can go as far as Lebron and AD can take them. Availability is key! Let's GO Laker's Nation!!

  5. Madness. He has botched almost every move. I can’t believe he is being extended. Now he won’t pay for the bad season we are about to have. Very upsetting.

  6. Jeanine last month "we were not done making moves"
Signed Shcroder after trading young talent THT, good defensive wing Stanley for another PG Bev then signed Pelinka an extension….

    This shit is painful…

  7. I don't love this but I also don't hate it. I like Rob, but his performance hasn't been stellar. We shall see how it goes the next 4 years.

  8. Good move by the Lakers. This solidifies the head of powers trust him. Rob still has alot of work (Mainly setting the Lakers up for post Lebron & AD) to get done and bring back a winning culture this organization had. This move definitely eases the pressure of getting deals done knowing your job is secured for the near future.

  9. Rob is just a rookie in managing a team but he's really doing a great job spanking Jean Buss's ass which leads to him keeping his job

  10. This is a complete shit show. This proves that the Buss family only cares about increasing the Net Worth of their Company, and they don't give a damn about NBA Competition, and putting together a Championship Product on the Court

  11. Every other team in the NBA loves this decision. With his contract guaranteed for half a decade or so, Rob P is now free to make the worst deals in Lakers history without having to worry about anything.

  12. On a separate note I am glad we got two other guards in Harrison and Figueroa.
Our roster is far too thin in the backcourt.
I’d suggest to trade Brown and JTA for more guards. Come on Pelinka, it’s a guard driven league.

  13. Robs not great but I think he gets too much hate.
    1. He put together a team that won a Chip!
    2. When you have 3 super stars you are limited with other moves and IF the Russ experiment had worked everyone would have praised Bron instead of Rob.

    3. 20-21 team was predicted most improved roster on paper. He can’t be fully to blame for the chemistry and health issues.

  14. The fact of the matter is that Jeannie still, after all these years, doesn’t trust herself to make bold basketball decisions. She’s afraid to make the tough calls, afraid of messing up, and is afraid of change. Remember how long it took her to finally cut loose her brother and Kupcake? She’s not at all bold and likes to stick with what and who she knows, even if it’s not going well.

  15. I have to wonder exactly what this guy has done for anyone to have confidence in him. I see that he took a championship team (one that was built more by Magic Johnson than Rob Pelinka) and continue to destroy it down to this current dysfunctional clusterfuck that we have now. Instead of getting fired he gets rewarded with an extension? WTF 🤔🤔🤔

  16. If they going to extend pelinka lakers might as well extend Russ contract as well. The two are tied together. As much as people try to blame bron pelinka is the one who made the gamble and traded for Russ.

  17. the best thing that can be said about Pelinka is that he looks like Rob Lowe …Dismantled a championship team….. thc over Caruso…..What positive move has he made AD was Labron …Labron was Magic….An agent is the natural enemy of GMS…its the end of the Laker world

  18. What is he being rewarded for? 1. For trading away the entire assets of a franchise for 10 yrs for a guy who never plays? 2. For finishing near the bottom of the Western Conf yr after yr since he's been in charge – except for 1 accidental free Bubble Chip which will never happen again? 3. For being the guy who gets hosed trade after trade by other franchises, and other franchises don't even wanna pick up the phone when he calls because they remember what an A-Hole he was as an agent? 4. For completely tearing down/letting players walk from a team that just won a Bubble Chip? 5. For giving away a 1st rnd pick for Dennis Schröder, only to let him walk away at the end of the season for nothing? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GUY GETTING REWARDED FOR!!!!!!!!???????

  19. Rob has been at the helm for three seasons going into his fourth and through those three seasons he pulled off the ad trade we went to the playoffs twice and won one championship. Explain to me why are people calling for his job?
