Shams reports the Hawks and Suns have talked “in recent weeks and months” about Jae Crowder.
Covered this previously a bunch but there isn’t a super easy path to making that happen $$ wise and with what Phoenix is likely looking for as a contender.

We’ve worked carefully to get under the luxury tax line and this would put us well over, without making us into a contender. Only way I can see this happening is if we trade a guy like Bogi to stay under the line.
So we would be willing to start him it sounds like since his whole issue in PHX is coming off the bench… Does Dre move to a bench role? Play small and move JC? Don’t really see it happening

The interesting thing with this though is I’m pretty sure Jae is unhappy because he wants to start, but assuming we’re keeping JC I’m not sure we would start him over Dre? Would be a super nice addition to the bench though and would likely play 24 minutes a night or so
