[Caplan] Mavs GM Nico Harrison on @dfwticket about ball-handling depth: “I’m not really worried about us having a third ball handler. … Before we got Spencer, we were rolling, and it was just the two ball-handlers, if you will. The magic for us happened before the trade.”

Before we got Spencer we were definitely not rolling

Wtf does that even mean.. since we took off after the trade once we got a third ball handler?

I’m not that upset about not paying JB but we will absolutely need another ball handler at some point, maybe he is just trying to not look so desperate lol.

Meanwhile the message after getting Spencer was “it’s so refreshing to have another ballhandler”

At this point, just wait for the season to play out because I don’t even think they can be consistent in their messaging lol

I’m gonna assume he’s talking about the month leading up to the trade and not earlier than that when we were struggling. Our record from January 1st – February 10th (trade day) was 16-5 which you could interpret as “rolling”. Basically January was the turning point for us.

Between him constantly repeating that Timmy is like a new signing and this bullshit, Imma need Nico to shut the fuck up for some time.

If you don’t have anything to say, just don’t do these pointless interviews.

What a moron. Mavs rolled once we had Luka, Brunson, and Dinwiddie. Once Luka has to sit due to rest or injury, get ready to see some bad basketball
