It’s crazy to me how some athletes have little to no knowledge about the history of the sport they play. It makes you appreciate the true hoopers who watch games from the 80’s and 90’s.

Tbh it’s kinda hard to recognize players from decades before you we’re born by just a pic of them. Like if u told me their names I would usually know who they are what team they played for but it’s much harder when u just show me a picture

I wouldn’t be able to name a single player from the 1971 Baltimore Bullets that lost in the NBA Finals either. Of any player on the 1971 Milwaukee Bucks that WON the championship (or at least Abdul-Jabbar’s given name). And I’m that old.
