Suing Madison Square Garden? Forget About Your Knicks Tickets. A lawyer who has had Knicks season tickets since the 1970s represents clients who are suing Madison Square Garden. So it barred all 60 of his firm’s lawyers from every game, concert and other event at its venues.

A real fan, who most likely understood the risks. Most are aware of Dolans propensity for blacklisting folks who criticize his rule.

    >Hutcher is representing 24 ticket resellers in a lawsuit against Madison Square Garden Entertainment. Their season tickets to the Knicks and Rangers were not renewed because of their positions as sellers, which the lawsuit argues is against the New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law.

    >Nine days after that lawsuit was filed, Hutcher received a letter from Hal Weidenfeld, the senior vice president for legal and business affairs at Madison Square Garden Entertainment. The letter barred Hutcher and every lawyer at the firm from entering any of the company’s venues until the litigation was resolved.

I’m not enough of a lawyer to know if this is allowed or not.

    >“The odds of an individual plaintiff discussing the subject of the litigation with that M.S.G. employee are astronomical,” the lawsuit says. “There are better odds of being struck by lightning or the Knicks winning the N.B.A. championship this year.”

    Ouch.

I can see /r/nba is already Knickslol’ing but this really does make sense. His firm is representing a group of 24 ticket resellers suing MSG because the Garden stopped letting them buy tickets, so MSG is banning anyone from that firm until the litigation is resolved. This is all typical lawyer shit.
