Doesn’t embiid go home and play video games and be with his wife and kid. Like it was a big deal they did dinners out on the road because he would just sit in his hotel room playing video games? Joel is my spirit animal in the sense of getting paid well and going home and gaming, but the man isn’t a social butterfly to my understanding. He’s charismatic and can be the center of attention, likes the spotlight but isn’t some huge party animal, he doesn’t drink if I’m recalling correctly.
Between that assumption and the larger than life appearance Ben projects it is not some wild story or stretch to say their personalities didn’t match up to be friends. This is such a non story story that is being posting a few too many times on this sub already IMO. They were co workers, they are paid to win and figure out how to win, you don’t need to like a person and be friends with them to be success business partners, which Ben acknowledged they weren’t successful for the ultimate goal.
Like yea Ben didn’t perform how we expected him to perform, he bailed out in a dishonorable way, he’s also gone and only an issue if his defense disrupts the sixer’s flow in game now.
