Yamcha was always my favorite character from Dragon Ball. I like the OG dragon ball a lot more than Dragon Ball Z. The power scaling just got out of hand. And as a result, Yamcha got left behind and his girl taken by an alien monkey with anger management issues.
Like c’mon, why does Goku always have to get exponentially stronger to fight bigger and bigger threats? At some point it’s just absurd and adds nothing visually nor narratively. The writers just keep zooming out, and now, Goku is basically the strongest guy in the multiverse with his stupid god mode and ultra instinct whatever.
Yamcha deserves better. And so does Krillin and that mutant freak, Tien.
Also, Gohan is a loser for going to school and not fulfilling his potential. It’s like if someone had the genetics to be a taller, more athletic Lebron with Curry shooting and then after being drafted #1 they save the world from the Monstars. But then before they play their first NBA game they decide to quit and become an accountant.
Anyways, Jordan Poole is a fantastic player. Great stroke, good instincts, and I think he’s going to keep trending upward. He’s no child monkey alien prodigy, and he’s definitely not a government experiment like Lebron, but I think he can become great. Yamcha may have gotten knocked down harder than Poole did by Draymond, but I think that Poole has just as much potential to become one of the strongest humans alive.
