Kuminga was much better today. He plays much better at the 4 or 5 at this point in his career. He also plays better when some of the starters are in the game with him too.

He also hustles like no other. He has taken that leap I expected him to take this season. Hist FTs has been almost all swishes as well

Lmao bro should have like 10 assists no joke.

I don’t even thing it’s the starters. I think he plays better when he has actual spacing on the floor.
Also he probably just played harder today than the rest of the pre-season.

Idk what the stats say but Kuminga and Wiseman had insanely impressive games
Kuminga was in complete control and Wiseman was everywhere he needed to be. Got away with one goaltend but was otherwise totally on it, mid-range, explosiveness, passing, hands (outside of 1 or 2 plays), looked great.
Wise even had a couple just straight hustle plays that he tipped or affected to get possession

Kuminga’s still trying to figure out how to be effective when he’s the man. He always plays better when there’s a defined pecking order and he’s around the middle of it.

JK played well in his previous games as well but people choose not to see it that way. He had the highest +/- last game and in general has been a positive in his games.
But because Kerr has asked him to move the ball, focus on defense, his scoring numbers didn’t look as flashy as they would if he became a ball stopper and look for his own.
People takeaways of him the last few games have been weird. While Kerr is happy seeing JK play good defense and playing within the flow of offense, people in here were crying about him for some reasons. Quite bizarre.

He’s going to feast being an off ball threat in our offense. He’ll get plenty of experience as a point forward w the 2nd unit, where he’ll continue to improve. He’s so explosive but capable of finesse and reads too. The things he’s capable of on D are elite for a dude who just turned 20.

Idk if I’m wrong here but seems like he would succeed in the gp2 role, since he is a slashing threat with crazy finishing above the rim. Obviously not the same defender but he fits well with the starters on offense

Yeah, he’s a finisher for now and a pretty damn good one. But I’m glad that in low-leverage situations, the Warriors push him to explore being a lead initiator. That’s the next step for him, offensively–to be a superstar (which is the ceiling his talent offers), he needs to be more than a finisher at the hoop. If he hits that ceiling, I could see him playing 3-5, working as an initiator on the ball, a finisher off the ball and a switchable defensive force.

Yeah you don’t want him to function like a 3 yet. I agree, he plays much better with Steph or Draymond. He can make secondary decisions better off of their initial decisions.

Draymond punches Kuminga next?

I think moody and kuminga will really break through right before the all star break.
