Soon after the Raptor’s final preseason game, the Raptors announced they have waived Josh Jackson, Dj Wilson and Gabe Brown and Justin Champagnie made the final roster spot! I will be discussing if the Raptors made the right Decision and breakdown whether some of the other players cut deserved to make the Raptor’s roster.

I’m actually tired of the Champagnie love. If he wasn’t “ours” Jackson would be clear of him by a long shot in my books. Not happy about this.

Last season, NN said Champagnie will be with the team for long time. The result approves what NN said even Justin hasn't player a lot recently.
Hernangomez is going to have a bunch of games with limited minutes where he takes a couple shots from 3, plays solid interior defense without giving up much from the outside, and does the right things off ball to create offense. He's going to play a small role he can have success in and doesn't have to blow anyone's socks off to contribute to winning.
They made to the right moves. People should be talking more about Dowtin's great play.

Gomez aka Bo Cruz didn't deserve the guaranteed money …he only got it because he has connection to Sergio. Bo Cruz will be this years version of Svi 🤷♂️
Justin got the final spot because of his familiarity with the roster. He got a knack to get rebounds on the o side of the court and can hit an occasional 3. JJ was nothing more than Stanley Johnson. People were hyped because he was 4th over-all pick and never came close to the promise of going that high. I'm a big DJ Wilson fan and was hoping he would make the team but he under-whelmed and looked disinterested at times. Perhaps GB and JJ end up the 905. DJ Wilson might be overseas bound.
I enjoy your videos but that Vince Carter jersey bugs me. Watched nearly every Raptors game since day one. He was a great player who couldn't stand being in Toronto and tanked to get out. Just ask his mom. Old fans know mommy was boss. Still enjoying your videos.

When Raptors chose to sign Armoni over Champagnie, he responded in the Gleague going for over 40 in consecutive games on top of all the reasons you gave Champagnie was the right choice… I feel like Boston might go after Josh Jackson though, was hoping for the "Raptors help develop Jackson to be the player he should be" narrative

To be honest, I was hoping the Raptors kept Josh Jackson. However, I have respect and faith for the Raptors front office decision making.
Well, it’s not a good feeling to let go, even we can’t keep them all. I also like Gabe, for a short time he was impressive.
Keeping Champagnie is good.
Keeping Juancho instead of Wilson likely a mistake.
Wilson must wonder what he has to do to make this team –
fairly good at guarding various positions, decent scoring, willing to repeatedly show some loyalty to a team that shows no loyalty to him.
Although I wish Wilson luck I sort of hope that he doesn't get picked up by any other teams so that Raptors can sign him to Raptors 905 (if they are allowed to do that) so that there is the hope that he gets called up to the main team when injuries occur and then can prove to management that he belongs on the team.
No I don't think he would be a star for the Raptors but he could be a solid bench player who gives the team good minutes helping out the team.
Sad to see Jackson leave but I never wanted Banton to miss out and Champagnie showed enough last season for me to want him back.
Jackson will get sorted somewhere and hopefully DJ finds another way in
the banton and dowtin combo off the bench gonna be deadly
