Cam Johnson And The Phoenix Suns Unable To Reach Extension Agreement #youtubeshorts

The Phoenix Suns and Cam Johnson were unable to come to an agreement on a contract extension prior to Monday’s deadline, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Here are my quick thoughts. Do you think this was the right move? Or did the Suns drop the ball on this?

  1. I understand the Suns trying to get the number down by sticking to their offer but when you think about the new network deal that will provide a huge bump to the salary cap in 2 years 21 million per really isn't that much. If he walks as a free agent the Suns get nothing but if they would have extended him they would have been able to keep and play him or to trade him. It looks like a big gamble for what seems to be a tiny upside.
