  1. Reminds me of a smaller version of a young Michael Jordan..

Imagine if a young MJ is playing in this present age.. with his athleticism, cat like quickness and hungry driven will, plus his ability or dominance in the midrange.. with NO hand checking and with soft fouls calls. Nobody can touch him.

it’s like doubling Ja Morant’s scoring average with better defense

  2. This is why Ja will never win the chip (except of course if he is coached by a master tactician like Kerr or Tyronn Lue); he plays so much faster than all his teammates and when he is the primary ball handler, he'll always speed his way into the opponents' backcourt and leave the rest behind. That makes him a 'lone wolf' in a sport considered to be a team sport.

Technically, a faster point guard should kick it to the guy with a better look beyond the arc or in a better position to score (instead of always attacking the rim) but this is Ja Morant we're talking about, he wants to dunk. This makes him very predictable.

So every opponent will build their strategy around either stopping Ja or stopping the other 4 teammates he's on the court with (that's how the GSWs beat them in the last playoffs).

I hate to be brutally honest but he's good for a dunking contest, not the Larry O'Brien.

  3. Anyone else find it strange that Steph Curry is even considered top 7 much less top 5 MVP candidate by Caesar Sports book

  4. I'm gonna get heat for this, but Ja Morant is a tad overrated. We'll see this when teams game plan specifically to shut him down. Teams have let him do whatever he wants but now there is a target on his back. He won't be as good this year as he was last year. Mark my words.

  5. OK, that behind the back dribble at that speed with the dynamic finish is impressive,

  6. Espn…. if you're seeing this comment PLEASE give this man a day in the life, we got to see this in action my brothas an sistas.

  7. Ja is extremely talented! It's going to be fun to seeing the young talent gel with the Pelicans, Wolves and of course the Grizzly's…… the association is in good hands!🏀

  8. smh I've watched enough nba to know that players like Ja dnt last long. he needs to slow down his game just a bit. develop more of a jump shot and assist. the way he slashes his knees or ankles will give out soon

  9. Some of us have been on the dark side. Malika should try accepting hers instead of hating it so much.

  10. Rachel was fun, Malika is too stiff compared to Rach… thank heavens for showtime.

  11. Joke time lol… win first over acting man if they win its ok to hype but if not winning they dont deserve to be hype a joke before they win they loosing badly and to what team the win Pistons hahaha! If they lost that game all of you are blaming murant lol….

  12. Man is a highlight reel I'm still taking trae over him anyday not letting the highlights fool me

  13. Expectation is we don't want him and his team, disappear like Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks did after their big year the prior year.

  14. when Ja gets a really consistent jumper like 38-40% from 3 then he will be the best pg behind curry. I would argue he is right now but that would make it a solid argument.

  15. With all the publicity he drew himself this summer he has to reach at least conference finals before they start Turning on him

  16. Ja one of my favorites players right now. He give me the same type of vibe d Wade gave in his game when he was in his prime.
