I thought Malakai did a good job. He was taking good shots off the catch and shoot and I thought there was once or twice where he cut hard and dragged defenders in which resulted in open shots. I was pretty impressed with his poise tonight.

Don't worry man – I agree with you. Many fans get caught up in glory and doing what is pleasant, while forgetting and being opposed to what is actually right and the most benefical long-term view for the San Antonio Spurs. I support what you are saying.

I agree, the Spurs don't have a star yet. I may change my opinion if someone emerges and can carry this team with a winning record into December. So far Keldon looks like the guy but the sample size is too small. The discussion topic should be "How can the Spurs get a star?" rather than the Spurs need a star player. I mean if the Spurs continue to pick up wins even with players out due to various reasons, then a top 5 pick is out of the question. They would have to find their star another way.

Nah Keldon is absolutely a star! His defense is better, his shot creation and confidence is on another level and when slashing to the basket he gets to the line waaay more now. Thats what you look for in a leader. Tre Jones is definitely on the rise, Vassel is a pure scorer with good defense. And all the players around them are benefiting from it all! This team is Not tanking!
Terrible takes IMO Keldon looks like an all star ⭐️ and Vassel isn’t far behind, they’ve been slowly getting better each year and now they have the keys and I believe we’ll easily make the play in with a real possibility to be a 5 or 6 seed.
Wolves didn’t just give up, they got smashed by a young scrappy team that’s making shots and playing together. Langford is our best on ball defender with Sochan being our best team defender.

Keldon deserves better from "some" Spurs fans.
How many times did Pop sit the big three or four and of those time how many times did the Spurs win. Was not the caliber of players that were on those teams at that time geared towards the play of the big three. Like you said there is no "ALLSTAR" or franchise player currently on the team (or is there?) so these guys are playing TEAM basketball not player basketball. TEAM basketball is the same no matter who is on the court at the time, that makes it sustainable. The games we lost last year that we should have won they will win this year. Play the game that's in front of you, whatever happens, happens.

The combined record of the teams we’ve played this year is 18-21, with the best record being 4-4 belonging to 3 teams. Charlotte and Indiana aren’t good teams, Philly seems dysfunctional af so far, Chicago was missing Lavine, and Gobert in Minnesota isn’t working at all. I understand people being excited over the team’s start, and the promise the younger guys are showing, but the ceiling for this team if they keep on this path is still like 35 maybe 40 wins. But fans are acting like we can compete for a 4 or 5 seed in the west and maybe it wouldn’t be the worst thing if we missed out on the best guys in this draft. You’re just asking to be stuck as a middle of the road team for the foreseeable future if that’s what you want.
