[Lowe] I saw a quote from Durant after the game where he said, “When you’re guarded by all 5 guys, you’re gonna turn the ball over.” That would set off some alarm bells in my head if I were a member of the Brooklyn Nets. That doesn’t sound like a player who is psyched about his situation.

I think the alarm bells probably started when he requested a trade

  2. Vivid_Walk_1405

Durant is getting traded this season. I could easily see the warriors going for him.

  3. GovernmentDoingStuff

The Nets just straight up refused to trade him, but if this shit continues, they may not have a choice

Wait, the guy that wanted to be traded before the season isn’t psyched about still being in the dumpster fire he wanted out of a few months ago? Lol

raptors package of OG, Gary & Precious is looking better by the day

I heard the interview and I didn’t read him like this tweet suggests. I think Durant was just irritated at the question: there are always gonna be games where he turns the ball over that much, regardless of the situation.

Edit: for the record, in his three regular seasons with the Warriors, he turned it over 6 or more times in 15 games.

KD really thought he was going to be a Sun

    >”Every night I’m guarded by five players, so I’m going to turn the ball over. I’m trying to be aggressive and trying to create stuff. The whole team is going to guard me throughout the whole season, so get used to my turnovers.”

Throwing everyone under the bus without naming any names lol that’s gotta be the worst way to get your point across.

  10. Calibanite_Lion

He turned the ball over 4 times while guarded by a single player.

This is so misleading. The media honestly sucks ass.

I watched KDs post game interview last night and was actively thinking how he’s so well-spoken and answered everything so well.

Then today, this is the second tweet ive seen from a media member that completely BUTCHERS what he said. Like it’s just taken out of context for clicks.

The way he said it had 0 implication that he’s unhappy. Hes just simplifying things to media. They asked about his turnovers and he was saying he’s going to get turnovers because hes a good player so they put a lot of bodies on him.

Great answer, same answer on whatever team he’s on

KD stills gets his numbers because 1. he is good 2. he likes playing basketball, but mentally he already checks out with this team

Of all the concerns this is one is the least to the Brooklyn nets. KD is the only promising guy all throughout the mess and their moves will be around him.

  14. jjkiller26

Raptors are ready and waiting for him to join

  15. Rationalknicksfan

He’s still putting in a great effort on both ends. His turnovers are the only issue at this point

Dude didn’t like the bball restrictions on GSW (among other things), just wants to hoop, leaves a strong team w/ strong ball movement and lots of action and good defensive schematics, joins other player that just wants to hoop, gets a coach who’s going to allow him to just hoop. Team just hoops and plays lots of iso and no D. KD: “can’t beat other team all by myself”.

  17. mehnimalism

If you are being guarded by five guys then you’ve got some great open looks

  18. norepedo

A couple of those turnovers in the 4th were just lazy passes that Ayo intercepted.

Finger pointing as usual from KD

  19. Atl-Fan_FTS

I can’t wait until KD and Kyrie retire

  20. EcstaticTill9444

Surprise! It’s easier to play basketball when you’re on a team with Steph and Klay vs. when you’re on a team with Ben Simmons.

  21. He’s always had issues passing and keeping the ball out of aggressive double teams in the playoffs except for the GSW years obviously. A very obvious weakness but somehow understated because of the “he’s the perfect player” image.

  22. SlinginCheeseburgers

Pretty sure the alarm bells in Brooklyn ran out of batteries months ago.
