If he takes a massive pay cut n is willing to come off the bench n play a role until he gets his confidence. I guess. But he can't be the feature.
Ben Simmons and Rudy Gobert get so much hate for no reason at all when Ben has more talent then more then 75% of players in his position. Rudy not so much BUT he gets the job done and is an above average defender and grabs boards that all you need from a big man.

When he is on the floor they don’t need to guard him so other teams could always double team when he is on the floor. Way too much money for Ben or Westbrook stop it. He would not be the most talented on team—the greatness he had has left him- it’s not coming back.

Nets get shooting, some more size on the wing, and a 1st rounder to help them retool after the KD / Kyrie era is over.
Spurs get to pair Simmons with Sochan…two players who can really defend and switch 1 through 5. Also gives us another capable ball handler. Plus we get Patty back to fill some of Primo’s minutes and to be a great mentor to Tre, Malachi, and Blake. He’s only playing like 18 minutes in Brooklyn so he should be happy (and he’s not getting another ring in Brooklyn). His minutes won’t be enough to hold back development of our young guards.

I don't trust his mentality and attitude. His skill-set, age, potential, and deficiencies could all fit perfectly with us but I don't believe he has the fortitude or determination to take Pops lessons
