The Brooklyn Nets Are A DISASTER

The Brooklyn Nets are a disaster in the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving era… from the James Harden trade, to the Ben Simmons trade, and 100 things in between… this has been a complete NBA disaster.

  1. Took a few extra days to really get my thoughts together for this one. And no the win against the Wizards doesn't change anything…

  2. Unbeliveable….who do the Nets think they are….The Knicks ???
But bad jokes aside , it does seem like everything is going sideways.Kyrie has managed to crash his own value even lower then it already was , whether due him beliveing that he is the grand master of 4D chess or he is just that dumb , doesnt matter anymore , it would be a huge suprise if they could get any value for him – its a shame really as he is still a great talent. KD is signed which is great, but he is also turning 35 next year….and from what I understand , the Nets also dont have full control of their own 1st round pick until 2028. I would normally say , just blow it up and try to get some value for your good players but trying to trade KD was a disaster , Simmons (so far) looks like the aliexpress version of a semi washed Draymond Green (no disrespect to Draymond) so even that it is quesitonable.
But hey , there is always a chance that they make a great playoff run and that somehow convinces Kyrie and Simmons to focus on basketball….wouldnt hold my breath until then though…

  3. It's almost as if superstar players acting as GMs leads to disaster. Look at the Lakers in addition to the Nets. The Heat "superteam" of the early 2010s doesn't apply because we all know Pat Riley had the final personnel decisions the whole time much like the vaunted Golden State front office runs their dynasty

  4. This whole situation has opened my eyes to an underrated that talent that the best of the best of the NBA has, leadership. As "talented" as the Nets are, they thirst leadership. I have even bigger respect for guys like Curry, LeBron, Giannis, etc. Than ever.

  5. Man that trade for James Harden…my word, has there ever been a trade hailed as great that has backfired so spectacularly?

  6. Why are they only being called a disaster after Kyrie posted a video on social media? ESPN was just talking about them figuring it out being contenders after their first week of the season

  7. There isn't any way-out for the Nets. They need to have a committed Kyrie and Ben Simmons have to stop playing hot potato, attack the rim and defend better

  8. You could make the argument that KD and Kyrie aren't positive assets anymore. Trading one or both of them won't help the team out.

  9. When dealing with NBA super stars you are gambling because of how much power they can exert over the entire franchise. Kyrie, Harden and Simmons are particularly volatile in that regard and KD is one of those yes-no-yes-no guys. None of them should be making basketball decisions off the court. With all the trades that have been made and depth being depleted, I don't think there's a player or a coach that can lead Nets to a title. In terms of defense – you'd pretty much require Simmons to gain 20 pounds of muscle over night and play 5 exclusively as he offers close to nothing on offense. And you still have Kyrie situation going on – pretty sure you can't even trade him for a bag of chips at this point even if you wanted to. Back to rebuilding with close to no assets again you go.

  10. Can you really say the Knicks screwed up not signing Kyrie and KD. Its seems like a blessing in disguise considering everything they gave up and how little theyve achieved

  11. Without Kyrie OR Simmons last night, they bludgeoned the Wizards.
As a Wizards fan that one hurt… but that’s gotta mean something. Durant + complementary pieces is better than Durant + a bunch of selfish distractions 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  12. HE GOT LUCKY when he made those decisions more than anything. lots of those guys were given up on. very lucky to have their careers work out

  13. God i love this Nets era (has a Cavs fan)
They first ruin future by trading for KG and Pierce
After that with Sean Marks and Joe Tsai they built this team back up and made the playoffs
They build a young core with D'Lo , LeVert, Dinwiddie and Allen
After doing all that they pissed it all away
Trading D'Lo for KD, getting Kyrie in FA and trading both LeVert and Allen (both end up in Cleveland, because for some reason Houston didnt want Allen) to get Harden, to then trade him away for Ben Simmons (he has been awful)
And now they face the fact that Kyrie Irving could not play a game again has a Net, Ben could be traded because of poor performances and KD the guy that made Joe Tsai and Sean Marks trade everything away

  14. What does it take to make KD&KI happen? A wildly inexperienced GM just wheelin and dealing feely because… he might as well play on the house money! What does it take to sink the KD&KI franchise? A wildly inexperienced GM who is a push over for star players like… KD&KI!!! It's really logical, when you think about it (o;

  15. Brooklyn born and raised and Jewish I had every intention this year of getting another ticket package and/or season tickets – nah no way anymore

  16. Kanye West should buy the nets for and transform the team to comedy Central given that Ime udoka is bringing his latest drama there

  17. Wait, this guy is a nets fan? 😂😂😂😂😂

You can NEVER EVER EVEERRRRRRRR TALK about the Knicks EVERRRRRR AGAIN 😂😂😂😂

  18. What an apologist. Almost all of this video is about the team's management and virtually nothing about prima donna players who wreck their teams. And that's all three of their superstars. Each one (Harden, Durant, Irving) have done it (to lesser or greater degree) to at least one team. Yes, the management needs to make the players fit and be accountable, but (in the end) it is the entitled behavior of those three players, not coaches or management, that have put the Nets behind the eight ball. I have no sympathy for their situation at all. You somehow want us to feel sorry for you as a Nets fan. Your team had 3 of the biggest stars in the game and f*d it up. You get no sympathy. You have not wandered in a winless desert. I hope they sink like a stone. The hard-working teams deserve to crush them.

  19. It can be cleaned up. I’d just send Kyrie home until you get a trade offer or if not let him walk. I’d sign two locker room guys or trade for em’ like the Lakers did with Beverly and I’d trade Durant for 3 first round picks and a young all star. That’s it. You move forward from there. I’d also trade Simmons for some vets
