Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is unguardable against the Nuggets, OKC Thunder comeback bid falls short

Rylan Stiles (@Rylan_Stiles on Twitter) dives into the Oklahoma City Thunder falling just short in their comeback efforts against the Denver Nuggets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is truly unguardable, Josh Giddey shows improvement for the OKC Thunder, and the Thunder are investing in shooting so temper your frustration, Oklahoma City got a good game from Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, and the Bricktown boys dominated in the paint against the Nuggets. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic show out.

  1. Repeating my thought, even though Denver had their three stars aboard and shot an incredible 18 for 31 from 3 while OKC was 6 for 29 or a 36 point difference and Jamal was unconscious, it was one of those games that happens. If the Nuggets shoot 40% from 3, it’s a totally different outcome. A step on the way.

  2. And as I watch all of the games I have become persuaded their best 3 point shooters will be Ousmane and next year, Chet. It’s their form and their releases, and of course Tre. Ous could be a big star as he has the size, skills and athleticism to be very special. Over looked in the emphasis on scoring is the subtle excellence of JWill. 11 rbs and 4 assists in 19 minutes even against a G League opponent impressed me a lot. I see him getting a lot mor minutes as the season progresses.
