No defense
Man, I'm confused! We had such a strong lock down defense identity a few years ago…now people just getting buckets on us all over. Can't win games by trading buckets. It's early in the season, but I'm done til they figure this out with better schemes or TRADES.
overall the knicks did ok with their big threes so no worries there but the Celtics were very hot , happy to see Cam playing

I never seen so much help defense in my life, they didn't even care about guarding the 3 point shot. Quickly is to scare to dribble in front of a defender, the whole team is thinking to much when they shoot the ball, ef don't need to be in a game until he's traded. Take Quickly out and see what grimes can do because quick only look for obi when he got the ball in his hand and dribble way to much. If thibs can get of the bed with Randle he will see that
We’re still getting it together saw some positive changes that’ll benefit the offensive end going forward , defense was tough we missed Mitch; Randle tried to stay back to secure rebound which hurt the perimeter defense . Randle should be coming off the bench in favor of Obi , this could resolve a multitude of problems.

The Knicks had no interest in defending the 3 ball and teams knows that. The playoffs will not be reached playing no perimeter defense. I don't even want to hear Thibs explanation this lost. Defending and ball movement is still an issue

It's true, when Tatum hit that tough 3 pointer over JR I knew it was over, few of those shots were contested and still hit them but doesn't excuse the knicks for being poor perimeter defenders. They need to stop the "drop coverage" and adapt. The nba isn't like how it used to be 7-10 yrs ago. You can do that to a team like DET or ORL but teams against Cavs, Bucks, Boston you have to adjust on the fly and Thibs is lacking on that bad. Other than that knicks played a good game just couldn't stop the 3 point barrage.

They need another scorer and another scoring big man they need to take a chance on AD and Westbrook.
Knicks need shooters. The only shooter that they have is being benched. In today's NBA you cannot win this way.
Good thing is that most of those problems are fixable. And must be. We are competing until someone goes off, none of our player have had this kinda game this season so far
