Everyone’s gonna just think i’m a hater but people think this is a leap? He’s always had streaks like this. He’s one of the most streaky players in the NBA. I’m fully expecting him to have a month he scores like 23 on 51%TS and his numbers even out

  2. ForoaKlanD

Blogboys told us he’s a chucker who was holding Gobert back though

  3. constantlymat

I am beginning to think players do not enjoy playing alongside Rudy.

  4. MediocreTake

tfw when you replace Rudy Gobert and Royce O’Neale with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley

  5. NegbombDB

The thing about this is that usually Spida starts the season very rough, so this is surprising that he is having this stretch at the start of the season.

  6. treysLance

He was out of shape last year and even he admits he had a bad year. I think there are a few Jazz fans who expected him to play better.

  7. So far he is looking great. His passing has also been good.

  8. Wild-Assumption-8732

Thats cool, but Garland needs to have the ball in his hands more than Mitchell, or else they wont reach their potential

  9. krusty-krab69

I believe dwayne wade also had his best statistical year at age 26.

    Agreed, go cavs

  10. 16patterjo

It’s crazy what happens when you actually play hard! I can’t believe it! /s

  11. lets_talk_basketball

Man he fits so well on this squad.. And this is w/ DG being gone half the games, it’ll only get better

  12. ohnourfeelings

I love me some Mitchell on the Cavs team

  13. ImTheBestNerd

He’s also passing the ball and playing defense.

  14. beatnickk

“This season” is less than 10 games lol. Time to draw conclusions!

  15. xenophonthethird

Dude unlocked something here, and is playing top tier ball.

  16. He’s gonna average 39 ppg after he drops 100 on the clippers tmrw with Reggie and Powell guarding him

  17. colocasi4

I saw this dude’s shoes in a store in Canada, they’re unappealing to say the least.

  18. 2dickz4bracelets

Bad stat. He’s def had stretches of games longer than this season where he’s averaged higher than that.

  19. Mosh00Rider

I’m happy he is playing well, I’m not happy to hear the Booker VS Mitchell arguments again.

  20. spacegh0stX

Pretty sure the season is 82 games, lil early to start declaring shit.

  21. TheRealTofuey

    That isn’t a leap its just a good start…

  22. ZealousidealPark2123

leap taken after like 15% of the season has passed? lmao

  23. BlackBullZWarrior

I honestly didn’t think he had it in him. I acknowledge this is a huge leap, but I want to see if it sticks. I’m very happy for him and the Cavs. Cleveland has built a special team.

  24. Grampz619

jamal murray and donovan mitchell are secretly two of the best players in the nba and if you don’t believe me go watch the greatest head to head duel in the history of the nba in the bubble playoffs

  25. larrylegend33goat

“This season” … 9 games. What are they doing in statmuse 🤔

  26. Can we wait for at least half the season before making these bold statements about players? There’s seven players averaging 30ppg+ right now, Embiid was the only one to finish last season at 30+. There’s going to be a good amount of regression by the time the season ends.

  27. IRanOutOf_Names

He’ll come down a little bit (he’s not going to shoot 45% from 3), but even with regression he’s playing the best basketball of his career (outside those 2 payoff runs). His scoring is insane, but his defense looks miles better, and his passing has improved. Looking like a legit superstar right now.

  28. dorkandjosh

Remember when I got downvoted for saying Snyder was overrated

  29. jumboponcho

To think Mitchell is usually a slow starter and gets better throughout the year, if that stays the case the East is in trouble. And we know he has enough scoring power to hang with anybody in the playoffs

  30. hotpocketthrowaway

I mean he looks awesome so far but you’re comparing like less than 10 games to an entire season lmao. Everyone in the league likely has a ten game stretch with numbers better than their best season numbers.

  31. widowmakerlaser

The amount of haters in this thread lol. Hope he proves everyone wrong.

  32. Tearz_in_rain

Happy for him and for Cleveland.

It was bummed that DM and Gobert didn’t work out in Utah. I still think that was a good pairing and that Utah just failed to put the right pieces around them.

Happy to see what happens when he’s got other weapons on the court who help get him more open looks.

Hopefully the T-Wolves can get their chemistry down and build something there too. I’d like to see both of these cats thrive. Big fans of both guys.

As a Canadian, is Salt Lake or Cleveland the better city to be an athlete?
