With games won/lost by 1 or 2 points the difference, the Mavs did not risk giving minutes to Jayden for now. But gradually, as the Mavs get their new team together better, they will call Hardy off the bench. 2022 recruits who received consistent minutes or even in the first 5 are from coded teams, where they don't have much to risk, they don't have exceptional players, they don't aspire to the title and they took a recruit from the first 10 (the most talented)… Or they're even better than Hardy and the likes of Christian Braun(Nugetts did him last night 14',and he got 2 pts, – 10!…), Walker Kessler, or Nikola Jovic, they've been given more minutes as they've proven their worth…
But the development and polishing of a talent also depends on the coaches, that's hard to appreciate for us, who don't know what happens in training, how well they give their effort, etc…

Some people in the comments section don't realize that Hardy is on a two way contract with the Mavs. Why have him come off the bench doing garbage time if any rather than have him playing staying ready. 🤷🏽♂️
I’ve always had the believe that playing with generation talented players can benefit a young player a lot. Thoughout luka and Brunsons development in dallas we saw Brunson learn a lot of moves from doncic from seeing it so often in practice I think jalen Can learn some moves from luka too as he develops they’re not the same position or same type of player but I think Jaden can pickup some moves from luka to use on his own
give him a fresh rookie year, JKidd will probably put this guy on the rotation next season, no doubt
