I was very high on Walker Kessler as a Poeltl 2.0. He had a historic college season in terms of blocks. I was gonna be upset if we missed out on Kessler because we traded #20 for #33. That’s exactly what happened, since Kessler went #22.
Koloko looks just as good as him defensively, and he was mocked in the mid-2nd round. It’s insane. I don’t understand our scouting talent evaluation. It’s so much better than the rest of the league.

koloko is playing about half as many minutes as those guys. but he’s still new to the league, and most players havent even met koloko yet, so grain of salt.

He’s been at least a top 15 rookie this year and they got him at 33. If you can get lottery picks talent in the second round that’s the kind of thing that turns good Franchises into great franchises.

There’s a good chance that Koloko will start when Siakam comes back and GTJ will come off the bench…I love GTJ’s game but when Koloko is playing with the starting unit, they’re a top 5 defense, and his chemistry with Fred is hard to ignore, those lob plays are just beautiful! I personally like the idea of GTJ coming off the bench in a 6th man type role…he’s still going to get his 30 mins a game, and quite frankly he’s probably going to get more opportunities to score.
