In Josh Green’s post game interview last night, he credited his AFL background for his ability to crash the boards. For the uninitiated, this is the game he is taking about.

I’m more of a Rugby League man myself (which Josh also played as a kid, IIRC), but there is no denying Australian Rules Football is probably the most popular sport at home. You can definitely see a bit of Josh’s technique in these marks 🤣

    [Here is a link](https://youtu.be/r3HDJU-tW5M?t=137) to Josh’s comments.

There’s something to be said about all the international players coming to the game from different childhood sports. Lots of new skills being cross-pollinated into basketball. It’s pretty cool. Just look at Jokic with the water-polo passes, or Siakam (and probably Luka) with the ridiculous footwork they learned from years of soccer.

EDIT: I really should add this was first noticed waaay back in the day (my day) with Hakeem’s footwork being attributed to his soccer background. So this isn’t a new thing, just more noticeable.
