Join Danny Marang for a post game wrap up where the Portland Trail Blazers go into Miami and split the season series on a last second game winner from Josh Hart – locking in a 110-107 win and the 2nd win in 3 games if a 6 game trip!
After a muddy first half that saw the Blazers commit 12 turnovers, the Blazers tightened things down a bit in the 3rd quarter – nearly matching Miami 21-20 heading into the fourth.
When the Blazers just couldn’t get over the hump, Coach Billups went small at the 6:15 mark and that was it – Justise Winslow set the pace attacking and Anfernee Simons followed.
The Blazers outscored the Heat 37-26 in the period, repeatedly breaking open the Heat’s zone that had worked for 42+ minutes previously.
Simons had 12 in the 4th buoyed by two and-1 trips off of aggressive drives – the team shot 13 of 17 in the quarter and gave Hart a chance to seal it by not calling a timeout and pushing the ball of a Heat make – the rest is history!

Nice to see a team win all these games when theure not playing their best…….just plain effort and staying with it can payoff……when they get it together they will be better and are fun to watch

Jerami grant was the missing link, I definitely underestimated his game. I thought he would be good but his handle and D is a little better then I thought.
Jerami and Justice deserve just as much vocal praise as Josh hart too. Jerami is a low key guy, but heās SO CRUCIAL to our team and can give you anything you need on the floor. Guys like him are SO rare and coveted.
I canāt stop hyping up Justice Winslow either. He is okay playing with limited minutes, yet he is good enough to start on this team. With all he brings on the floor. His heart, defense, IQ, heās just a guy you never want to take off the floor.
I hope the new core of Hart, Grant, and Winslow secure long term contracts in Portland and are here to stay, this is fun.

Justise turned the game. When he came in and started forcing it, the rest of the team started feeling it, amd we started breaking their stride and creating our own.
It felt like the bench won this game for the Blazers. They set the tone of the game, they were aggressive, they clamped down the the defense. Hope, and I think it was just rust, but Dame seemed off. Sloppy slow passes and moves, but again, think it might have just been some rust. Feel that outside the obvious heroes of the game was Eubanks who was there defensively and offensively
Im not surprised at all of Dames pass or Harts 3.. im surprised Hart is taking less shots then Winslow..hes a great player that needs to give Portland easy 15ppg..

I'd argue that they "put together" the home game against Denver. Sure Ant went ballistic but either Dame or Ant having a flamethrower of a game is Blazers at their best.

I was crushed for saying Cronin was a great Gm with clippers trade who is laughing now š.. hart ā¤is our Westbrook love that he is not jacking up threes play smart and does everything else, Winslow plays like that as well leave scoring and shooting up to dame ant grant sharpe in future.. this blazers team is full of dogs š.. hart gp3 Winslow Trendon Eubanks nas will be all gas ā½ļø no breaksā¦ we actually have balance on this roster I predict we make a big trade for mo bamba to make a push this year
You saw their posture change when they went down 12. Backs stiffened…formation was tighter…they held Miami to 47 points in the second half. Great team defense wins.
