I’ll save you the trouble of listening, Bulls lose the Play in unless AK does something drastic at the trade deadline

It might be all the copium, but if Lonzo comes back at the ASB, they have a better shot in the playoffs compared to last year

I mean if the team ever gets fully healthy (including Lavine getting his bounce back), this is for sure a 5 or 6 seed. East is stacked now tho so it could still be a first round exit

Summary: Patrick Williams stinks. If he continues the stink, Bulls=bad

Team is good even without lonzo

TL; DR:
The Bulls are 6-6 despite their starters getting outplayed badly. Guest Tim Bontemps sees this as a glass half empty situation where the best the Bulls can hope for us a first round exit and their future doesn’t look bright.
Zach Lowe sees it more as a glass half full situation where the Bulls could get even better when LaVine gets healthy, Williams develops, and Lonzo returns. Plus teams he put ahead of them like the Heat and Nets are struggling.
Lowe still sees the Bulls’ ceiling as a second round exit but thinks that could be a fun story if it happens. But he admits that might be too optimistic.

I don’t like the Marvin Williams comp. Pat is really young and I’ve got hope for him. He’s younger than guys drafted this year. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about wings, they need time on the court to develop and this is that time. Jimmy got better because he was on the court and grinded and that’s what we need from Pat.
That being said if Javonte by the end of this season is playing better than Pat something has gone wrong.
We are 6-6 without Lonzo, losing bench guys every so often and Zach being in and out still getting healthy. The bench really looks good and I’m actually impressed with the signings. I wasn’t sure about Dragic but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Zach is going to get healthy and it’ll be better for us.
Even with Lonzo I do worry about our half court offense in the playoffs. What can Billy scheme up to compete with teams?
The confusion about what we are makes sense from afar but to know the injury issues we have the picture makes more sense. We’re trying to get a high enough seed to avoid the play in and try to shock someone in the second round. Box scores don’t show the game to game growth, hustle, and changes.
I still wouldn’t be too upset if we stealth tanked though, Wemby would be worth it. If we’re playing uninspired basketball, trade the aging vets, guys who don’t fit the future, and consider if Billy is the right coach going forward.
