TBT. The “Baby Lakers” started the season 5-5 and finished 35-47. Can this year’s team even win more than 25?

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we won only 20 game the whole season

  2. We should’ve trusted Lopez/Zubac more and kept them

  3. DonDickerson

The question should be. Would that team beat this year’s team.

  4. MisterMondayKnight

Team wins almost 60 games this year 😭

  5. Kanajeji

Love some of these guys. First round exit though.

There’s honestly so many good rotation players on that team. I am still pro AD trade because it got us the title, but there’s something to be said for only trying to acquire big names via free agency and not panic trading.

PG re-signing with OKC is one of the more underrated “what-if” moments in Laker history.

Russell been fucking us for years…

8 of these guys are starters this year. 9 if zo were healthy. 10 depending on Hams plans for Bryant.

We did a much better job drafting than we get credit for. Just wasn’t willing to wait for the guys to make a leap. For comparison sake – Knicks are still waiting for rj to make that leap and he’s in his 4th year.

Damn, almost everybody in this pic balling right now lol… I really miss BI and JR

I had more fun tuning in and watching this roster than whatever the fuck we are currently throwing out there smh.

Imagine giving Randle the max lmfaoooooo

With some small tweaks this could be a serious contender now

They signed Lonzo instead of Tatum and dumped D’Angelo for Brook and then didn’t resign him. So many awful decisions these last 5 years.

Because of trading some of these guys we won a chip, mismanaged Lopez and Zubac, made Julius walk for nothing and finally traded Kuzma and KCP for an washed overrated star.

Ups and q lot of downs with this front office.

TBH i would really enjoy watching a Clarkson, Randle, Ingram, Zubac core with a few vets sprinkled in.

This team would win at least 45 games in today’s NBA.

  16. Itwasthelag2324

U had everything u needed right there, just needed a few more tweaks and we would have been good, instead u blew the whole entire team up… idiots

  17. Itwasthelag2324

Even this team is built better then the 1 we have now, center/forward depth etc

  18. Fitzmmons

Yeah but that was 2017. The league overall just got better over the years. It feels like it’s just harder to get wins over bad or mid teams nowadays.

That was a good team. Find me another team that’s successful with their 2 best players going down. They were playoff bound until Ball and BI got hurt, and this is with Luke utilizing BI the wrong way. They were waaaay more talented than the current squad.

At this rate I’d be surprised if the Lakers win 10 games. So sad to see this happening in LeBrons twilight

  21. Training_Daikon_4259

Add Lebron to this team and it’s a playoff team. Change my mind

  22. SimpleJacked2TheTits

This team is filled with NBA players. The lakers, as currently constructed, have easily the worst roster in the NBA. As they did last year.

  23. iamtfleming

Sickening to see the potential on that squad. They were just pups and ownership couldn’t see it.

  24. odinlubumeta

You guys are ignoring strength of schedule. Why does context always have to be thrown out so you can make your own team look worse? The team is in games against all playoff teams. They aren’t good but they do compete and if they played bottom feeders yes they would have a better record than the “baby Lakers”.

  25. Ferrealzzz

Hopefully this team wins 20 lmao. I doubt it though. The Lakers are going to make history this season. Going down as the worst team in NBA history.
