I think Vaughn is the main reason they didn't go get Udoka. He deserves the position and bringing in Udoka might mean losing Vaughn, like they lost Udoka. Take care of who is loyal and capable in the current structure. Plus they don't need more issues with Udokas past issue, especially with women. Also, we don't know what private conversations Udoka had with them. That weights a lot too!
