I WAS WRONG ABOUT SHAEDON SHARPE

So the Portland Trailblazers rookie Shaedon Sharpe has finally impressed me enough to the point where I can finally admit that I was wrong about him. Through the first 11 games of the season Shaedon Sharpe has played a very impressive brand of basketball and I think the Portland Trailblazers might have gotten their guy for the post Damian Lillard days.

  1. Takes a man to admit he’s wrong. It’s even crazier to hear you say Shaedon could be better than Mathurin considering how great Mathurin’s been.

So props to you dude. Fr

  2. yes you were. i remember the video you were talking trash during the draft. modern nba you need athletism and a brain. he learns quick and his bbiq is in many ways is better than many older nba players and hes 19 YEARS OLD! you are blind and your eye test skills are terrible. he's a three sport athlete. hockey, football, and basketball. balance, footwork, smooth efficient movement, and quickness. that helps his defense. you need to pay attention to the west coast east coaster. utah and portland are using similar concepts on offense and defense. this is the modern nba now. portland was lucky that he did not play for kentucky for one full year and go in next years draft. for that fact he dropped to 7th. next years draft he would have be top 3 automatically. the only thing i question is drive and motor. does he have the motivation to grind to be the best of the best? all star or a superstar i dont know. have to see how he improves and grows.

  3. So in my opinion the reasons you just listed for not being at work, is not Good enough of a reason.
If you have the energy to get up and make a video then you have enough energy to go in at least try and if you can't make it through the day then go home.

There that's my piece on that.

Shaedon Sharpe is going to be a starter next year👊✌️

  4. “Mathurin is #2 in the NBA in ROY voting…”

Whuuut? The season isn’t even a month old. Who’s “voting?”

  5. The play last night where he just floated baseline looking to pass and just layed it in last second was crazy. It seemed like he was in the air way longer than he should have been. The ceiling on this kid is unlimited, especially finishing. Not to mention he’s already a solid shooter and the Basketball iq is already way ahead of where I thought it’d be. hard to believe he’s only 19. I really hope they find a way to still give him 15-20 when Gp2 comes back. If this kid was getting starter minutes imagine how much better he’d be by the end of the season…

  6. Props to you for admitting you were wrong man. I respect it and we love Sharpe in Portland, his ceiling is literally outer space haha

  7. Got to be liberal

Can’t sleep so you stay home and make video’s. And we wonder what’s wrong with this Country!!!

  8. Considering how little game experience Shaedon had before the season, he’s a quick learner w/ arguably the best natural tools in the draft. He looks like he’s gonna be a two-way beast. I think he’s actually in a great spot being on a competitive team & learning from Dame & other vets. He has superstar potential written all over him but doesn’t have the weight of having to be “the guy” on a bad team, so he can develop without pressure & learn how to impact winning.

  9. Shaedon's potential is extremely high. If he stays healthy, I see him in the MJ, Kobe discussion.

  10. Sharpe has the highest ceiling of this draft class but he won't have enough play time to rack up the stats to win ROY, that always goes to higher usage rookie with around 20 pts or more a game. Like when Dame who got thrown in as a starter his rookie season averaging 19pts a game.

  11. Won't lie. I was definitely wrong too. He's surprised Me for sure. No idea what his ceiling is. Your last sentence might have been a little dig at Mathurin I don't know but Shaedon definitely seems more teachable then Mathurin. Whether or not He will be better It's just way too early to tell. No way even if given the opportunity he'd be doing what Mathurin has been doing in under 30 minutes but He's one year younger without any collegiate experience. Mathurin has 2 years.

  12. Yes.. looks very good. No college, I agree he has a 'smoothness,' which usually points to confidence. Nice post.

  13. Many pre-draft analysis videos claimed that Shaedon had the highest upside out of anyone in the draft. After seeing the rate at which he caught a feel for the game and adjusted to NBA play, they're 100% correct. A year younger than Mathurin, without playing a single game of college. I'd argue they're already in the same tier, but Mathurin just has a green light.
I don't think it will take 5 years for Sharpe to be far ahead of Mathurin. I think it takes 3 years max. Sharpe's growth is exponential. There's also something to be said about being able to put up empty stats on a team that will likely finish as the 12th seed.

Mathurin is amazing, but I think the Blazers got a MAJOR steal with Sharpe.

  14. He'll end up being 3rd in roty and then he'll be considered the #1 pick in a redraft the following season. I won't lie though, i was really hoping Portland got Ben. I was and still am blown away by sharpes athleticism, but i thought it would take him a few years to get nba ready since he didn't play in college. Boy am i glad Portland got him now! Sharpe is a fucking freak!
