Guys I don’t want to overreact but I’m pretty sure Charles Bassey is Tim Duncan mixed with Steph Curry

  2. ChewsWisely

We are [Insert record here] until I learn otherwise

  3. xxthinkpositive

The Spurs are undefeated when wearing the 22-23 City Edition jerseys

  4. irrelevance_90

Just want to say thank you to the 76ers for our lord and savior Charles Bassey

  5. Routine-Highway-1467

That was a fun game to watch. Keldon is special, Sochan is exciting to watch, kids so goofy.

  6. JoseAltuveIsInnocent

Please don’t ever hurt me Jeremy. I love you so much already. You make me so happy.

  7. Axsh1boomba

Charles Bassey just dicked around and got 14 rebounds and 4 blocks…

  8. eeveeritt15

as of the end of this game keldon has 45 3s, which is currently 2nd behind steph’s 53

  9. UsoppSolosEveryVerse

so nice of the 76ers to give us Bassey for free

  10. ZenThrashing

Bassey could’ve literally just hustled for rebounds alone and he’d be my favorite player of tonight’s game, but he also assisted, blocked and screened like an NBA Finals veteran wtfff

  11. yeah_car

If only I could drop all my obligations and just go to every single Spurs game. Just saying. GSG!

  12. ChulitoBurito

Proud to see the development of Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell!!

Poeltl, Sochan, and Bassey have impressed me!!

Whereā€™s the ā€œwhen youā€™re trying to tank but youā€™re playing the *blank*ā€ meme?

  14. Jaydoggydogga

Need a nickname for our new lord and saviour Charles Bassey. I opt for ā€˜C-Bassā€™ or ā€˜The Big Fish šŸŸā€™

  15. Kid_Venison

What a great game from keldon! Canā€™t wait to see those jerseys againšŸ”„

  16. Titronnica

    Fucking love this squad already.

Great energy, great hustle, and just a good showing overall.

Iā€™m waiting for the Jeremy dancing W video on this sub. šŸ”„

  18. Fiyukyoo

If Bassey continues to hustle like that I think we can get away with moving Zach to the 4. I think KBD might be the odd man out in the 2nd unit

  19. tskillz187

I couldnā€™t keep my eyes off of Portis and Sochan every time they were in together. Canā€™t believe they didnā€™t come to blows at some point. I love Sochan so much, he probably doesnā€™t know how crazy Bobby P is.

Bucks fan here. Devin Vassell is special. He was my MIP pick prior to the start of the season and seeing games like this from him makes my decision seem even more firm. Happy to see him hoop. GG yā€™all

What I learned from this game. Johnson is so improved and I honestly don’t even think the Spurs have fully figured out how to use him yet. He’s looked so darn good when he can get some space to attack down the middle of the lane but too often has deferred. He didn’t tonight. And if he can keep his aggression up he’s just not going to be a guy teams cant get a hold of.

Devin vassell in many ways is the opposite of johnson. While Johnson is a big physical force of hectic energy and unpredictability, Devin always looks so measured and cool. While the mid-range game often gets called outdated I frankly think San Antonio should get him more of those shots. He’s just absolutely unguardable there.

Jeremy Sohan with another very well-rounded game. San Antonio experimented with about a 3-minute period where they let him bring the ball up and while he didn’t Dazzle he didn’t look out of his depth as a 6’9 240 lb guy bringing it up against a point guard. Exciting development and I hope they continue to let him work on that. Defensively I thought he set the tone and was just all over the place

Trey Jones had one of his better games as a floor General tonight. Was very calm and very in control all night. Some nights if you squint hard enough he kind of looks like a very early career Tony Parker with how he darts in and out of the lane dissecting defenses

Doug McDermott and Josh Richardson both were frustrating again tonight. Richardson can definitely score but my goodness does he need to watch some tape and figure out the leagues new Tendencies with the travel calls. McDermott has been having a hard time getting open looks the last couple of games and making some uncharacteristically bad passes when he’s tried to go off the dribble.

Jacob is such a smart passer. I know we talked about it a lot but it needs to be reiterated. The guy is an incredibly good passer. Offensively he’s one of the most unorthodox centers in the league and I’ll never not crack up at his weird teardrops and Euro Step craziness but it works and I love the man to death. I thought he was awesome on defense tonight

This was a bit of a up and down game for Romeo Langford I thought. He was the victim of some very poor foul calls and it kind of neutered his aggression. Also a couple of worrying Tendencies have begin to show up with him on the offensive end. He absolutely looks like he has no confidence in his ability to do anything with the ball outside the paint. Teams are begging him to shoot. And it’s one thing to move the ball along and not take those shots but his biggest problem is he keeps hesitating and thinking about it before making the pass or taking a dribble which is allowing defenses to set up and close it on him. For as good as he is defensively, and he’s very good, if he’s going to be a long-term piece of this team he’s going to have to start shooting or creating off the dribble more consistently. He did have an absolute awesome block though.

And Charles bassey. The thing that really is most impressive about how he’s playing right now is that he’s not having a perfect run of form. He’s not some young rookie who’s just on fire or just a ball of energy and not making any mistakes. He’s making mistakes. He’s had some real blunders on the pick and roll, he’s gotten burned a few times with pump fakes, and he absolutely needs to start taking the open jump shots teams are begging him to take. But despite all that the fact that he has been without a doubt a serious headache for every team he’s played against coming off the bench since joining the Spurs, even with all of those rooms for improvement, is exhilarating. I can’t remember the last time San Antonio had a young front Court Prospect as exciting as him ( I’m counting Jeremy in a category of his own as just Jeremy lol) He moves his feet extremely well on defense, he’s a shot blocker but he’s not a dude that’s just pogo sticking around and out of position. He uses his length and timing to stay where he needs to be while still swatting shots. And he knows exactly where he needs to go to position himself for rebounds. Went San Antonio starts to get him involved in the offensive bit more things could get very exciting, or potentially concerning if you’re Collins.

In the post-game press conference, Keldon just said that Bassey is “a great kid.” He’s one year younger than Keldon. Lol.

  23. Fhaksfha794

    Tre Jones – Steve Nash

    Devin Vassell – Kobe Bryant

    Keldon Johnson – Lebron James

    Jeremy Sochan – Dennis Rodman

    Jakob Poeltl – Dikembe Mutomvo

    JRich – Reggie Miller

    Bassey – Wilt Chamberlain w a jumper

    Zach Collins – Dirk Nowitzki

    Romeo Langford – Scottie Pippen

    Doug McDermont – Larry Bird

This team is going 75-7 plus 16-0 on the way to seis

  24. Opposite-Magician899

    1 assist in a minute

    Future HoF Jordan Hall

  25. birdlawspecialist1

Keldon and Devin can shoot the damn ball. Both releases have gotten so pretty, but damn KJ getting those big and-1s in crunch time was clutch as hell.

We should have won this game big and we did. Keep the train moving young fellas.

  26. Had to watch the Bucks feed today and it made me appreciate Sean and Bill even more.

For those curious, Grayson Allen had a non-covid illness. I know that because it was mentioned at least 10 times.

  27. cfox_GSG

Is it unreasonable to suggest that Bassey is the best of all time?

I hate seeing people overreact in these postgame threads but idk feels kinda fair to me

  28. rattatatouille

Maybe it’s the roster, but I love how we have two guys under 25 who can score 20 every game.
