I hate to blatantly reuse the Steph line but his gravity is insane lol
It doesn’t show up in the box scores in terms of assists but he generates a ton of open looks for the Nets because of how much attention he gets both on and off ball
Off ball in particular I think he’s more effective than any superstar not named Steph which makes sense because he’s also easily the next best shooter(and even the outright best from 10-20 feet) and is willing to not dominate the ball constantly
He’s also been playing DPOY defense. Never seen him this engaged on that end of the court since he’s been a Net
2 steals 2 blocks and set the whole tone defensively as well. This is the best basketball the Nets have played since Harden hurt his hamstring quite frankly
And he’s been hitting shots that are VERY difficult mind you.
It’s honestly insane how Kyrie is gone, yet it feels like we’re using KD less. Like he has less of a load to carry.
His gravity is insane as well. Bro was getting triple teamed at half court

Kevin Durant is just a joy to watch. So smooth and he’s a positive defender. People waste their time hating players when you can just appreciate and enjoy a great basketball player.
He is so much better as the solo number one option, with a team of shooters, passers, and efficient role players. If Im the Nets, I trade Kyrie and Simmons asap

If they don’t bring the toxic team killer back they might have a chance, it comes back and there out in the play-in or 1st round at best again
Watching KD is like sitting on the porch on a nice Sunday afternoon while drinking iced tea cuddled up w/ Pokemon yellow. So good.

And we have won 4 out of 5, with like +18.2 Net rating. Best Defense in the league past 6 games even and it’s not even close.
Pretty sure overall we’re also making our debut as a top ten defense overall for the season now. KD averaging over 2 Blocks for the season. Team averaging most blocks per game for the season.
I don’t think people are ready to admit that KD should be on the next DPOY ladder if this continues.
