Brutal night for him, but he also peppered in his 3 blocks as usual and Sacs a tough matchup for any big but the most agile of guys, but I digress. He’s been pretty up and down this season. Other bigs like Poeltl are more consistent on a nightly basis, though I’m still convinced Turner offers the highest ceiling if all things go well.
That said, the way AD has been playing lately (and holding up against physical bigs like Nurkic/Gobert *knock on wood*), Bryant actually playing like a reliable backup big, and Gabriel as a small-ball 3rd stringer C makes me wonder if the Lakers are still actually considering bringing in another big as a high priority. Wings and shooting are definitely still the highest priority, and if Westbrook were to be shipped, a reliable secondary playmaker would still be needed, though I like the stable of Reaves, Schroder, and even Nunn as creators if he gets back to his Heat form.
Then again, a trade of any sort might not be on the horizon at all for all we know. Hard to say at this point.

We don’t need turner. Yes will help and fits good with his play style but is he worth the big ask while his contract is up after this season? If the lakers can find a different centre to trade for or pickup, then they should do that and drop Damian jones. Having a lineup of Bryant or another big with ad will help and then when the bench roles in you can have Russ, wenyen, and Bryant/ another big on the court with Reaves to keep that spark off the bench. But then again that won’t solve our lack of shooting but it will fix one problem. I wonder if boogie would do good if we have him a shot but healthy this time

Turner is expected to complement AD’s game. Like TB. Ppl acting like Turner is supposed to be AD’s replacement.
