In terms of offensive RAPTOR ratings, Patrick Williams ranks dead last in the NBA

Just thought it would be interesting to see where Patrick Williams currently sits statistically. I figured he would be down near the bottom, but he’s dead last in the NBA.

He’s also a negative in terms of defense statistically.

Sharpe,Ayton, and mobley are also like dead last. Raptor rating doesn’t really move me at all.

Karnisovas thought he could have it both ways building this team for the playoffs while simultaneously developing young talent, and now we’re in purgatory. If we really want Williams to showcase his full ability, he needs a lot more chances and more opportunities with the ball in his hands, running PnR, whatever. He needs to play and go through the successes and failures as the centerpiece. Management clearly invested a lot of belief in him but are hamstringing him by trying to fit him into this situation.

Who knows if he’s actually good at any of it, but he’ll never even get a full chance to do that on this team as currently constructed. You could arguably say the both ways approach led us to give up on WCJ and Markkanen. We couldn’t have too many developing players because we needed to make moves in FA to get out of irrelevance, and those two drew the short end of the stick while Pat and Coby stayed on.

I watched all bulls games this season and I think as a 1v1 defender PWill is our best when it comes to bigger bodys. He defended Tatum super well. Also Booker had a hard time against him. Booker made most of his buckets against other defenders then PWill. He ain’t as quick as some shifty guards, but that’s it.

His offensive game is still lacking, no question about that. Even though his 3p shot is pretty solid with >40%
He needs the ball a lot more. Like a LOT! But it’s almost impossible with so ball dominating players like DeMar and LaVine on the court with him.
