Al Horford Reacts to Contract EXTENSION with Celtics



Al Horford discussed his two-year contract extension he signed with the Celtics on Thursday at shootaround before Game 2 of the mini series vs. the Heat. He never expected to play 17+ years into his career, but ending up in Philadelphia and Oklahoma City gave him new perspective and motivation, along with the chance to win a championship with the Celtics last year in his return.

    I think Jaylen said it best last year when he said Al gets his vote for Team Captain. Al is such a leader “by example.” The perfect embodiment of Professionalism. Glad to have him for another 2 years.

    I just want Al to get a ring before he retires.. I wanted it for him last year, just like I wanted it for CP3 the year before.. I know in the end it's who plays best in finals, but I just really hope it involves Al in the end.. Bleed Green!!! 🍀 🍀 🍀
