[Justice] A few months ago, #Cavs Donovan Mitchell told me that he was excited for the HS basketball season to start so he could go to local games around Northeast Ohio. Tonight he did just that, bringing Darius Garland and Isaac Okoro to catch the Garfield Heights-Cleveland Heights game.

Super cool to see Donny embracing Cleveland as a city. It feels like the first time since LeBron we’ve had a star that wants to be here and clearly loves the fans. In interviews he says how loud Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse is and how much he likes playing for Cleveland. Going to high school games is another way he can interact with the community and it’s awesome to see.

Donovan was super active in the local Utah scene, always went to the UofU/BYU games, too.

I mean Nance Jr repped us pretty hard.

This is awesome. If I was one of the players for either team, even just riding the bench, this would be a story I’d tell forever.

He just seems like a really wholesome dude in general. I wish he wasn’t playing in our division.

I love this guy. Hard not to root for him.

I’m happy Mitchell tweeted his displeasure about Ohio HS games having no shot clocks. Teams around here really be torching so much of the clock just to get some janky ass shot off, or they torch the clock because of a late game lead 😭 once you see a team go into a 2-3 zone it is over
