Demar really killed the momentum
At least they showed some fight at the end, Zach played a lot better today, gotta make those free throws man
Billy and DeMar sold
That lil comeback at the end just made AK softy whisper to himself “ah yes….continuity.” While he continues to scout 6’5 power forwards that can’t shoot.
Valiant effort
Can we reach .500 by the end of the calendar year? If we do I think we will turn it around.
Takeaways from tonight’s game:
* Deebo started out terrible and grinded his way back into it. Didn’t shoot the ball great, but got to the line. Sometimes the shot isn’t falling and with that being said, he did everything a star is supposed to when it’s not their night imo. 7 assists and 1 TO to add more to it.
* Zach shot the ball decent by recent standards, but played absolutely terrible defense and got into foul trouble so early he sat basically the whole third quarter. He tried jumping with Wiseman (?) with 3 fouls when it was the easiest charge in the world and got his fourth and I just shook my head. Was caught sleeping on defense multiple times. Demar isn’t a good defender by any standard, but he was very clearly trying on that end of the floor tonight at a bare minimum.
* Vucevic played well. Could’ve used a few more rebounds, but he was absolutely the best/second best player on the floor tonight.
* Pat was pretty mediocre. I still think Billy is stupid for putting him on guards. Sure he’s one of the better defenders on the team, but he currently isn’t at that level where he can guard guys who are steph/poole quick on their feet.
* Ayo was good on offense, still got absolutely cooked by Steph/Poole on defense. I’m happy he’s doing well on that side of the floor most nights, but defense is really where we need him to show up.
* I love AC, but god damn it’s rough when he’s not huge on offense and still isn’t slowing down the perimeter players on the other team. Steph didn’t have a great night, but honestly I don’t think it was due to our defense.
* Bench looked decent, Dragic looked more like what we’ve gotten used to this season after the shoulder tweak. Javonte showed up in the 4th quarter after a rough start. DJJ had a good game after a few missed opportunities early on. As a whole, all 3 were positives tonight.
* Crazy highs and crazy lows tonight. Golden State kicked it into overdrive on defense at the end and we just couldn’t keep up.
MVP’s for tonight: Dragic and Vucevic with an honorable mention going to Javonte.
By far Demars worse game in a bulls uniform

I know it’s usually a wild thing to say but billy Should have never brought DeMar back in. The lineup that was out there was playing really good and DeMar clearly didn’t have it tonight.

We made more shots and FT. Being one of the lowest attempted and made 3 point shots is a recipe for disaster in 2022. Also we can’t guard the 3 point line.
This roster isn’t built for the modern NBA and that is 100000% on AKME.
Extend Billy for another decade tonight.

also, i don’t know if its just me but ayo looked really lost defensively. couldn’t stay attached to Poole. didn’t switch properly on our coverages.
Another game where we let the other team get a massive lead on us. It’s amazing we tend to come back from those deficits, but we still lose ‘em.

Losing sucks but if we can make it wins vs Kings, Jazz, and Bucks on this road trip, I’d say it was successful

Hard fought game at the end. Clawed back just to lose because of bad coaching. We had them on the ropes only to change what was working.
Steph should’ve fouled out and we should’ve gotten those free throws.
DeMar had open 3s and didn’t shoot them, he took contested mid range shots and missed rather than an open 3. That can’t happen
Vooch was on tonight and should’ve gotten more post touches especially on mismatches. I can’t blame this loss on him.
Javonte did his thing in the 4th.
That lineup was working and I want to see it more if the matchup works.
A sad loss but not a bad loss
This is why i dont like ISO basketball.. A smart team/defender will analyze your shooting pattern and fave spots. With DDR limited Range its much easier for teams..
Who’s the leader on this team and who holds them accountable for these losses. Missed free throws and reverting to ISO when it hasn’t worked in the past. The first quarter had my hopes up that they watched some fucking tape and looked at how bad they’ve been playing. Stop chucking up the 3s and drive the paint. We put them in foul trouble early tonight and then we just forgot about it. Now we don’t even have Lonzo to look forward to.
Coby had 2 quick fouls, took a bad pullup transition 3, and got benched for the rest of the game. We really needed his shooting, especially against a team like GS.
Also I hope Dragic starts instead of Ayo or Caruso going forward.
I liked the Billy signing but seems like he is best suited for college, or he needs a Point God to run the team for him.
Missed free throws. Defense was bad. Every player hitting every shot what can you say. The run and fight back happened too late. Dragic should start and run the starters it just flows way better. Lack of off ball movement is depressing
demar had a bad game, but we looked stronger as a full unit. we play really well when we play as a team filling our roles. vooch had a great game and needs those touches consistently
demar lost us that game biggest ball hog in nba history
DeMar sold big time down the stretch in Q4, and should’ve stayed on the bench. Also don’t get why Billy pivoted from feeding Vuc in the paint to having him chuck up 3s during clutch time.
We are the 2021-2022 Lakers with our shooting all while having worse star players. AKME failed assembling this roster in the worst way. I don’t think a team had a worse off-season than us, and I think our worst in the last 20 years when you consider we are in win now mode.
I still think we bounce back and wake up soon
