Jayson Tatum with a sweet left-hand finish

I’ve been complaining for years about how Tatum refused to go up with his left hand. I think that was pretty reasonable, it was super annoying to watch him leave ten points on the table each game because he opted for difficult off-balance floaters instead of taking the layup in front of him. Since I criticized him so much, it’s only fair to give him his flowers for working on the holes in his game. It’s dope to see him go up with his left hand on a regular basis now. Like this play for example, he saw he’d have a better angle going up left so he switched hands to create the easiest shot possible. His instincts at the rim have gotten so much better, and it helps that he’s finally using both of his hands instead of just one. Even that drive on Tyler Herro in crunch time, he created a wide open layup out of thin air just by spinning and fully-extending his left arm for the finish. He missed the shot but it was a great move. I hope he keeps trying it because if he can do that, I don’t know how you’re supposed to guard him.

tl;dr I gotta give Tatum his props for going up left
