Nick Nurse needs to go!! Koloko needs to go G league an the only reason why heās starting because Fred likes him. Number 2 Fred needs to go he shouldnāt be the main guy heās not Curry. If I was raptors players I couldnāt play under Nick Nurse because you donāt know your role.
This team is a reflection of their coaching. Itās easy to blame the players cause they are the ones playing the game and are the most visible. But NN and the coaching staff needs to stop being Dwayne Casey and Lenny Wilkins. Meaning stop being so stringent with an offensive scheme that has proven more often that not to be ineffective and Monotonous. Particularly the half court offence which has little to no movement action and set schemes they have. The 3 man weave is the only play they run with movement and itās predictable and easy to guard.
Sherm is right, the fake comebacks are 100% due to the opposing team slowing down and then placing their foot back on our neck when it conveniences them. We're not making comebacks, the opponent is taking a breather and effortlessly smoking us when they choose. Playing w their food and we're the food.
There is something very off with the team dynamic. Not being a coach, I cannot pinpoint the issue, but NN, Masai, and Bobby need to figure it out. If the problem is not fixed, it is going to be a LOOOOOONG, humiliating season.
NN needs to change his defense ….this doubling all the stars every game …teams know its coming and they swing swing for open 3's every game. The half court offense hasn't gotten any better, NN needs to hold some of the blame… and can this team/coach STOP crying to the refs ! Go Raps āļø
I am truly at a loss for words, I equate watching the Raptors recently to watch us during the Bible, knowing that we are tanking , for a first round draft pick, except that year, I didn't have the same feeling looking at the players faces, and looking so defeated.. We all know the players I'm talking about.. Hope things turning around before the thrill of watching them goes away..
There are many issues but Fred is the main one. He gets us out to slow starts cuz he's not a real starting pg. He's lost a step offensively and defensively and wasn't explosive to begin with…he cannot put pressure at the rim and isn't a great passer. He's been slow to most 50/50 balls and Scottie has struggled too but he's 21….Fred is 28 and supposedly in his prime.
Why is NN so insistent on 2x teaming early? Especially stupid against Brooklyn, 2 superstars, deadly shooters around them. NN is too stubborn and slow to recognize his bad schemes.
Looks like he is starting to lose the locker room too.
NN is currently destroying the team chemistry with his multiple indecisions regarding rotations, playing time, calling players out in the media & the like. Both Barnes & Trent were taken out of starting line up but then Barnes returns after one game while Trent stays benched. FVV can stink it up playing heavy starter minutes while Trent Jr gets called out in the media by NN while he was out injured missing games. Most current healthy bench players outside of Boucher don't know their roles from one night to the next which leads to a lot of confusion. Young starts a few games & looks good after being nailed to the bench to begin the season then hardly plays. True, Porter Jr & Achiuwa are out but most teams are dealing with injuries in the NBA.

If you look at our pattern, we should win the next two. šµāš« I agree with a lot of you though, something stinks in the locker room. Everything that is going on is mental mistakes. Boston went through this last year and had a 'players only' meeting after Smart called out the two Jalens for ball hogging and not involving the rest of the team. They then turned their entire season around and started winning. We need to do something similar. I'm not bailing on the team though. I still believe they can turn this season around. We are .500 and we have had one of the worst schedules in the league to start the season and been decimated by key injuries/illness. I'm more concerned with how the officiating is obviously controlling these games. They miss calls and give the star treatment to several players on the opposing teams to start our games. Once that they see that we have no chance of coming back, only then do they regurgitate the whistle, and we even start to see some "pity/makeup" calls, which the other team starts to find unfair and rightly so. The refs allow us to creep back just close enough to make it interesting, and then they swallow the whistle again, except that we are so out of rhythm by that point that we struggle to make even the easiest open shot. Most of these games are looking like a WWE match–carefully choreographed to a desired outcome that was determined before the start of the match. That said Raps can do better and will do better! Let's go team!!!
You know what is WAY WAY more embarrassing than these raptors losses. These comments from you Chicken Little, the sky is falling,trade-aholic, tank commander, arsonist, ex hockey transplant causals who know nothing about the game of basketball, what it is and how it works. Your comments and takes after every single Raptors loss are not only an embarrassment to all the real Canadian basketball heads who follow the Raptors but are also quite annoying . No wonder the Americans stay laughing at us up here and say we donāt know the game and all we know up here is hockey. All of you need to just go back to watching the Leafs and Habs and leave the game of basketball alone. Leave it to us real basketball heads. Look at the top 10 teams overall and their starting centres. You can start a C that plays drop coverage and doesn't hit 3s. This team is seriously flawed. The solution is there in '23 draft.
Half the fun of being a sports fan is talking about the game afterwards. Letās keep it fun by respectfully disagreeing when someone doesnāt think the same as you do. Itās an 82 game season and every team is going to stumble at some point. It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff and the players try to bounce back from two very disappointing losses.

The body language is off w/ Scottie. NN needs to bench players regardless of status if they are not ready to play.
Scottie limps in fourth quarter and Nurse didnāt even give him a glance on the sideline.

When we, die hard fans of Raptors, seeing Pascal, Fred and OG are striving with endless efforts to fight back the game, we are sososo much heart breaking . We hope that we wonāt change from die hard to die heart ā¤ļøāš©¹š
