  1. using all assets on some over 30 injury riddled player we are not ready for is going to be the mistake that kills. there is not one big trade player that's going to help we need to get younger more athletic players first, Or we will have 2 high priced players with same old role players

  2. This team needs some massive changes, yet all I hear from the front office seems to take on a vibe of "we made the western conference finals last year. We're good." Luka is 23, but his role players are getting old by NBA standards. DFS & Dinwiddie will both turn 30 in a few months. THJ will be 31 in March. Powell & Kleber are 31. Bullock will turn 32 in March. I do not believe they will win a title this year or next with their current roster. If they wait 2 years, their supporting cast will have very little value. Make trades now.

Luka is 23. Green is 22. Wood is 27. That's the players I would try to keep. Everyone else should be up on the trade block. Even though Maxi is 31, I like his contract & what he brings. Trade for a legit center, ffs! There a few "cost efficient" players rumored to be on the block. Richaun Holmes has been replaced by Sabonis. Daniel Gafford has been replaced by Porzingus. The Spurs have said Jakob Poeltl is on the block. Mo Bamba in Orlando maybe? Or the holy grail for this team in Myles Turner. Let's just say they trade THJ with multiple picks & swaps for Turner. DFS has immense value to certain competing teams, the Cavs immediately come to mind. Charlotte will almost certainly get off their big money long-term contracts (Hayward & Rozier.) Why couldn't the Mavs pull of a deal like DFS/Bertans for LeVert/Osman/Stevens. Then turn right around and take on the big Money from Hayward & Rozier for expiring contracts of LeVert, Powell, & not fully guaranteed Reggie Bullock? Lamar Stevens is 25, on a rookie contract, & a capable starter. Terry Rozier is 28 and on a 4year contract. If you get lucky and Hayward stays healthy, he will be a huge upgrade for Dallas. Sure Hayward is injury prone, but he would be an expiring 31.5mil expiring next year. Rebuilding teams often send their star to a competitive team for an expiring & picks. What if the Bulls don't make the playoffs this year & they blow it up next year? What if you could get LaVine for Hayward, multiple firsts, & swaps? Might be a long shot, but it gives you options by getting off Bertans long-term money, plus you cement a core to build around Luka. Who knows what would be available next summer.

Dual Guards Luka & Rozier (23 & 28). SF Green & Osman (22 & 27.) PF Stevens is 25. PF/C Wood is 27. C Turner is 26. That is an extremely solid core the next 4-5 years.
Luka & Rozier will be the best backcourt in the NBA, fun and dynamic to watch. Green & Turner would anchor the defense while simultaneously spacing the floor for. Wood will be a dependable 18/9 type of offensive PF alongside Myles Turner. Under this specific trade instance, you got to keep both Dinwiddie & Kleber. This team could win some chips.
