Lonnie and Reaves should be the starting guards fs

  2. Juaniscool-8

He played hard, but he can’t guard taller players

  3. Honestly a joke that he’s our wing defender. People literally just shoot over him. On ball he’s alright I guess, fouls a lot. But he’s not bothering Bojan og PG on shots

  4. Malimanz

He’s our only option guarding other teams wings

  5. makethetradepelinka

    whats wrong…you don’t like elite wing defense??😆😆

  6. Large_Mango

    We miss Wenyen

Anyone like to see a starting/finishing lineup of

    Lonnie Austin LBJ Wenyen AD?

Some energy some shooters some selfless ball?

  7. Fancy-Cream-3972

Lonnie , reaves and TBJ should all have more minutes than him

  8. Nothappened

He was a placeholder so that they didn’t have Westbrick screw up the game

  9. NotTheKingInTheNorth

Players get worse when they become lakers

  10. I was told I’d love pat Bev when he’s on **my** team

He’s a morale/glue guy. I like having him on the team, but I’d prefer he be on a vet minimum contract playing garbage time minutes. He was only out there to stop Russ from making any boneheaded decisions down the stretch.

D Ham likes that Pat Bev never strays from the defensive task. Even if he doesn’t provide anything on the stat sheet, he’s one of the few players on our team who’ll play the whole game locked in, regardless if we’re getting our ass beat. But yeah I’m with the majority, time to trade him.

He did play good defense on the last meaningful possession

The reason PatBev starts is because if Austin starts, then Lakers would have fuck-all shooting to bring off the bench.

The reason he is in closing line-ups is because even though its a joke he’s having to defend opposition wings, he’s still Lakers’ best option to have defend opposition wings other than LeBron and AD. You don’t want 40 year old LeBron defending opposition’s best wing the whole game and AD can’t because he’s the Center.

Darvin isn’t stupid. He is trying to make the best of a flawed roster which is awfully built for modern basketball.

I think I watched a Locked on Lakers podcast where it says that:

    1. PatBev is a 91st percentile defender (i.e. a great defender), but a 0 percentile on offense (worst in the league pretty much); and

    2. Westbrook is a 94th percentile on offense (great for offense) and a 6th percentile on defense (he’s shit at defense)

Put it all together and it seems as if Ham uses Pat Bev to defend a lead, and Westbrook to try to make up a deficit

  16. Afterloy

Pat Bev and AD are statistically the best defenders on the Lakers.

  17. Id rather have pat bev in the game in the closing lineup for his defense than westbrook.

There’s something called defense. You probably don’t know what that is huh
