This is my issue though. There were games this season where the mavs were down 1 or 2. Multiple games where they were in this same scenario and Luka ends up hoisting a 3 pointer or the coaching staff draws up a play for a 3 ball when youāre ONLY DOWN 1 or 2. Jason Kidd is becoming predictable and the mavs are so clueless with understanding that they only need a 2 to tie or a 2 to even take the lead depending on if theyāre down 1 or 2.

They were only down 1 so why not get something going towards the rim? Maybe use Luka as decoy for Christian Wood to get the ball at the rim. Yes, Luka will cry like a baby if he doesnāt get the ball and Wood misses but better than a guarded step back 30 footer when all you need is a 2. Bad play call.
I mean who doesn't know the mavericks usually run that type of play when there tryna get a game winner I seen them do this play for Luka so many times
Luka was also up by one and had them on there heels and knows he has the skill to run the clock and the coaching staff called a timeout , giving the bucks a chance to draw to a defensive play
