Not only did he trim the rotation to 9 players, but he added Mcbride into that rotation. That is not to be overlooked.
Using your best perimeter defenders in that 9 player rotation instead of burying them on the pine is what help. Imagine a 9 player rotation with Rose and Evan, instead of Grimes and McBride.
