Everyone has been a little harsh on Klay, ya he was a little off especially with defense and shot selection but he's always been inconsistent as all hell. He'll explode then he'll hit nothing, everyone remembers game 6 Klay and forgets his 2015 finals performance
It's been a pretty even series the last few years. Just because you win the first game after beating a team in the Finals doesn't mean you have their number, especially if you only meet twice a season. Saturday's game lacked both Al Horford and Robert Williams which led to the disparity in rebounds and in turn a big Warriors win.
Both teams are 6-6 in the last 12 contests vs each other, including the NBA Finals. No one has had anyone's "number" really.

This is just one game. If Boston had won Saturday night, was the confetti going to drop from the rafters, no. Boston can learn from this game and still accomplish their mission. They play in Boston, and GS loses, the narrative will change. GS just like Boston has to get through their conferences before talk of winning the chip. GS has to look hard at Memphis and NO. Boston only has to worry about Milwaukee.

As a fan of basketball from Bird was still jumping into the stands (bad back and all), I've learned to look at teams by components/ matchups and other factors. How many teams have multiple defenders with the size+ strength+ defensive skill (and on court mobility) of Looney+ Draymond+ Klay+ Kuminga? (and; yes, Wiggs and yes Draymond is dedicated to Brown)… Horford would have made a difference, he messes with the matrix… but Wiggs wasn't missing by accident imo ( he missed the last celtucs game before the playoffs last season)… Good teams are playing the chess match and not adding to scouting film… Dubs always do it, the Celtics have started (and Kawhi is MIA for a reason too)… this season is fun on multiple levels.

The problem with Tatum is that he abuses his size and length against other small forwards. He gets his way most of the time. But once he is being defended by a more physically gifted player such as Wiggins or Kuminga, he doesn't know what to do. He can no longer abuse his size and length, so he has to dominate these match-up with skills. But ask yourself, can you think of Jayson Tatum's go to move? He doesn't have any! He is good at everything but not elite in anything. The Warriors is also just a terrible match up for him and they have always been able to stop those long wing players such as Tatum.

Who do you think should take the 9th? Lamb? JaMychal? Moody? Hoping Moody can make a similar jump that JK has this year, I think JaMychal is best suited as a 10th or 11th guy tbh. Also, any thoughts on Santa Cruz these days? Rollins has been a BEAST, Wiseman has shown improvement, and PBJ balled out in their last game. SC is 4-0 these last couple weeks, been really fun to watch
