This feels like one of those things that’s not particularly unusual to do in practice but is a weird thing to talk about doing. Like a how the sausage is made type of thing but a nugget of info that neither adds value to acknowledge out loud publicly nor is a particularly interesting behind the curtain look
I feel like this was largely forgotten (for good reason) but when JJ refers to his own experiences as a player I think he probably means the time he basically stuttered in a promotional video and was eviscerated all over the internet for using a racist slur. Having been through that I can see how he might have a higher awareness of optics and want to save his guests from a similar fate.
